I feel like Bulletproof Backpack to Oh Yeah is a bit of a downgrade

They don't want you liking anything.

They want you to feel bad and hate everything.

Downgrades are improvements.

Maybe they were a little nervous about pushing a single called bulletproof backpack. Especially now 2019-2020 where everyone is sensitive about nothing.

oh yeah is a better hashtag though

I don't think too many people would freak out about the title, I just feel like you see it and go "Ahh, that's the song about school shootings of course." Not necessarily a bad thing but just a little too obvious for me.

And yeah, Oh Yeah is infinitely more hashtag-able and meme-able. Let's just hope the song isn't as generic as its title.

Yeah and that was pretty much done with Bang Bang already. Not to mention Having A Blast is also a similar song lyrically.

I guess we will know soon

The "Teenager" song being the longest is interesting to me. I wonder if it's more reflective and slower-paced, especially since it comes in the middle of the record.

Is that You Who bj reposted on insta?

I was a Teenage Teenager probably is gonna be the song with the most passion behind it.  Also here's to hoping that junkies on a high is take back 2.0

HMV have previewed the album in their list of rock/metal albums of 2020:

"Four years after 2016’s Revolution Radio, the veteran pop-punks are back with a new studio album and a change in direction for their 13th career LP.

Recorded with Fall Out Boy/Frank Turner knob-twiddler Butch Walker, the band’s frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has talked up a new soulful and Motown in the record, still drenched in the band’s frenzied chaotic guitars.

As you can hear on the album’s title-track, they’ve lost none of their youthful lustre..."

True true, I reckon if they heard the full thing they'd have a lot more to say about it and they'd probably have permission to say at least one new thing that wasn't known yet.

Looks like most of their other "previews" are the same too.
