I like the theory of X-Mas being on FOAM as the last track. But wouldnt that be listed  in iTunes already? (Track 1 and 2 are already downloadable, the rest just says Track 3-10.)

Wild, unrealistic, stupid theory: They recorded the songs as Longshot, but then Longshot will sell them to Green Day once the Warner contract is done.

I felt that way before, but now I don't mind anymore because if we add what we're getting with MOOTIK we'll get 16 songs total, which is a perfectly reasonable amount of new Green Day songs for me 😊

Only because two songs have been recorded in the same session, or sessions, it doesn’t mean they necessarily have much in common. According to what the band have said so far even within FOAMF there should be some variety. 
Maybe they recorded some songs that are so different from the rest that they do not fit in here, maybe they are just b-sides and then I would be happy to have a new shenanigans sometimes in the future  

Edit: An example that comes to my mind, but I am just thinking out loud, is that maybe one of the 7 songs is a ballad. As far as I understood this will be a fast record with no room for that.

Maybe it's time to get C&V out of the vault lol All joking aside, I have a feeling that it will happen on an anniversary year for AI in the future. That would be a big moment for the band and would be a slam dunk success out of curiosity and hardcore fans having to get it as part of their collection. This is the only Shenanigans 2 I would anticipate. 

GD this decade has been focused on celebrating anniversaries for Dookie which has overshadowed AI's anniversaries. I get the entire reasoning for that as Dookie is older and in some way GD is still in the shadow of AI.
