I’m still skeptical stadium shows will happen in 2021. Hope we have a vaccine by then.

They’ll no ahead vaccine or no vaccine

they might make masks mandatory but I’d be surprised if they don’t go ahead

It’s possible we may have more herd immunity than we realize — new research is suggesting it may have been spreading as early as August in China. Suspected cases are dating back to December in Europe and the U.S. I’m still convinced it was here this past winter well before we realized it. If there aren’t huge spikes in cases following smaller businesses reopening and the protests/riots in major cities this month, it’ll be hard to justify not reopening venues by next year.

I agree, there appears to be growing evidence many of us have already had it and herd immunity is working well.  I really don’t think we can wait for a vaccine, look how long it took us to vaccinate everyone for smallpox and this is could be harder to pin down.

And the longer we wait, the more we put small venues and other businesses in jeopardy. I really don't think we can afford to wait much longer.

I just realised if the Australia tour goes ahead (which is unlikely but slight chance) I'll be at the very first show of the tour in November in Perth! Coincidentally we were the last stop on the 99 Revs Tour.

I just know the show I’m going to will be rescheduled for the same day as the wedding I’m reluctantly involved in that’s being postponed from next month to July 2021. They’ve yet to finalize the date and I’m going to be a wreck until all these details get ironed out — because honestly I would rather go to the show. :ninja:

That’s funny, my husband’s cousin’s wedding was supposed to be the same day as the Pittsburgh show in August and he was upset to be missing the wedding. Now they may both be moved to next summer and I’m hoping like hella they don’t conflict again!

Show over wedding any day. How many times will you see Green Day in your life? Less than dumb weddings you'll go to!

I hate to admit it, but I agree

At this rate it will be fine to go ahead from a crowd perspective.  They are already looking at getting fans back to the footy this month.

The stumbling block will be the band and all the crew will likely have to isolate for 14 days upon arrival. Remains to be seen if that will be feasible/ whether an exception will be made (I doubt it).

I'm kind of surprised they didn't end up cancelling the Aus tour already. I mean, now the chances are looking better but there was a period in like April/May where it seemed impossible that they'd even be let into the country! Still got my fingers crossed they don't end up postponing
