I really don't know. But I'll leave this quote:

"Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth."

While it's a great saying indeed, sadly neither of these options are impossible. I'm afraid we have to suffer to the end till the announcement is here. 😔

True, Green Day being "in on it" is not literally impossible, but I deem it to be virtually impossible or at least the absolute least probable of the available options. As you say though, we'll have to wait until an announcement. I'll definitely need that to put my melting mind at rest lol

Yeah, I'm already seeing it coming. All signs are there:

-"Sweet Billie" in the hellamegatour video

-the Madonna Inn thing

-the glitter

-the FOB and Weezer t-shirt

-the planned shared tour

-Crush Management

All things are hinting at a (potentially shit) corporate pop rock album.

Nothing proves the opposite, except the "leaks", which

-have the wrong font (GFB era)

-conveniently happen to be in the same studio PanicLand used and no other reasonable studio for Green Day fits the bill

-have Billie's voice edited in, something they would never do if not fake

-conveniently stopped posting once they were exposed

This all breaks my heart. As explained in depth on page 406, I WANT those leaks to be true. But they won't. Pop Green Day is coming your way, everyone. Let's just expect the worst, but hope for the best, that's a strategy that always works!

Whatever happens, I'm somewhat still looking forward to the Jimmy Kimmel appearance, if real. Probably gonna be fun.

Sweet Billie, ok maybe, but how about Tre grabbing the guitar and smashing it off a fu**ing  door...punk..

But if you write something wrong in wikipedia it gets deleted sooner or later by the admins 🤔

I agree with all of these, except the Madonna Inn part. To me, that hotel is way too kitschy to be corporate pop, I relate it more to an indie aesthetic. It actually reminds me a lot to the whole oversaturation of the Masseduction album by St. Vincent, which would be a very cool synth rock direction to follow, but maybe that's just wishful thinking.

I honestly wouldn’t mind a poppier album. 21CB was kind of poppy but one of the best so 🤷‍♀️

Just a theory, is it at all possible that Green Day "leaked" snippets of a track (or even the whole track) to Panicland and asked them to leak little bits of it themselves, in order to generate a bit of hype? Panicland then added their own audio of Billie over the top so people would know it was Green Day related.

I wonder if Billie Joe got in contact with them after they performed to him?

It's just I listened to the leaks again, and my god, that is just Billie's voice. It has to be. If not, if ever Billie decides to leave the band, Tre and Mike know who to contact if they want a like-for-like replacement! Best attempt at replicating his voice I've ever heard.

Green Day have always been poppy. Billie Joe has a magnificent feel for good melodies. Without that, they would be just another wanna be punk band. Thank God they have Trè and Mike, too, masters on their instruments 🙂

You're spot on.

I don't care for the Kimmel appearance, but if true it's a good way to premiere the single live. In general, I expect interviews and media appearances to be a source of pain, because we'll be hearing about how this is the new exciting artistic route they're taking.

Yeah, it might be me just wanting the leaks to be true. But yeah hopefully we get something tomorrow so we can stop agonizing for some time before we all start desperately digging for the album leak. 😄

I wish that were true, but why Panicland? It simply makes no sense. How anyone would choose them specifically for this and on top of that deem them trustworthy enough to be in charge of any leaked material whatsoever is less likely than them or someone else affiliated with Panicland and/or the studio somehow managing to pull of a pretty good Green Day impression.

Where does the information with the 3 Bands from Jimmy Kimmel came from? Does someone have a link?

To me, the audio of videos is totally fake. Someone just put many audios together to seem like a leak and a Green Day song... Billie's voice that we hear in one of the songs was extracted of another source (maybe live videos), but we don't recognized it because it's a little part.
