I don’t know what you’re talking about.” The fact that he’s even acknowledging it is a big red flag! If it actually wasn’t true, I’m sure he’d just ignore it.

Even if BW isn’t producing it, which we don’t know for sure, he’s obviously fairly close with all 3 of the guys. He follows them and their families, he likes posts from them and their families very consistently, as does Scott Nagelberg from management. He was at Mike’s birthday party. He’s a a producer. So if there is an upcoming album, there’s no way BW wouldn’t at least know that. So yeah to a certain extent I think he was playing dumb, unless there’s no album. He may have been genuinely confused tho as to why people were commenting about GD in that post.

I’ll admit that I went along with it when I still thought the Kerrang thing was more than just a misguided radio host reading out a random tweet. But to read so much into it now is a leap of faith imo.

Although all the anticipation is part of the fun, so I'd get a big kick out of the band doing more intentional hints and stuff too haha.

Then it gets frustrating. Brand managers and advertisers know there is a sweet spot for hype to have maximum impact before it starts to have the opposite effect. I would love any actual teases or hints from the band like we got with Longshot. I thought they were gonna do that. They may have wanted to do that but we told no, or still might and it’s just too early.

At the same time I don't think TJ is lying either, It seems things have changed from the original plan Matt was aware of. I think it's fair to say that. The album is done but we ain't hearing about it until September. Which yes, sucks since we want it now, but at least there IS new Green Day out in the wild.

We have sort of conflicting theories about the album from you, Matt and Kerrang so somebody's got to be either misinterpreting information or lying or plans must have changed. Those are basically the only possible things that could have happened I'm sure you're telling the truth though
