That's fine for you but I have seen them and seeing them play for less time for twice the price with two bands I dislike isn't appealing to me lol. I don't have a ~moral objection~ to them doing it but it just isn't something that I'd consider worth the money.

I also can't really see a good reason for Green Day to do it. I get why Weezer or FOB would but GD are clearly the bigger ticket so what's in it for them? Weezer and FOB aren't "failures" but they're not as highly respected as live acts or as well known as GD, especially in Europe. Those three bands billed on the same level would be kind of weird here.

How do you know that they are going to play less time?

Is it possible that the music might be legit but it's just a demo version of the whole thing? something like demolicious? I know the drums sound super wonky but i don't know if there is really anything more to this

Also the more I look at the dr.robertdoback instagram, the more I feel like the music is not even playing in that studio but is rather just edited in over random studio footage with added billie vocals and such? Idk, robert don't seem to post no more, maybe wahetever he wanted to post was too obvious since we dug up some shit on him or he ain't got anything more? I don't really know where we could go any more other than back to bed until the sun rises again on tuesday

I would just assume the show wouldn't be 6+ hours long. Not even confirmed as happening though so just speculating

Exactly my thought/question. And let me just say I don’t dislike FOB or Weezer. But they don’t have the standing or reputation that GD has. They must feel like they hit the jackpot with this deal. But why is GD doing it? Especially with a new album coming out? Can anyone enlighten us on this decision?

On the bright side, it looks like these rumors are being well-received on social media.

I agree on this, who the fuck would want to stand for 6+ hours listening to 3 bands of which they only liked 1...this isn't ultra miami we're talking about

I would very much be happy with fob and weezer opening for gd, that seems rather reasonable

I mean if they're doing it then it must be profitable I guess. Just don't really see how lol. Seems like underselling themselves

I don't have anything against Weezer or FOB at all, but I'm gonna be pretty gutted if this comes to Australia. Pit for RevRad was $150 a pop, so the price should at least double with two other bands on the bill. I could afford that for the show(s) just in my city, but I'd be completely priced out of doing any sort of tour. And I wouldn't even really want to do the tour if Green Day had a shortened set.

Weezer is a good group

since I’m too lazy to look up FOB I can’t think of a song of theirs I’ve heard (are they the “whyyy why you always kick me when I’m high I know she may not be Mrs right but she’ll do right now” song?) is assume FOB would play first so could just skip them come later in the show

Nah that's Arctic Monkeys.   SR-71.

Fall Out Boy are great though.

Try "This Ain't A Scene" or "Dance Dance" or "I Don't Care" from their older (they took a 4 year hiatus and changed their sound a bit) material or "My Songs Know What You Do In The Dark", "The Phoenix" or "Centuries" for songs you might've heard by them.

Ah I’ve heard of Centuries if it’s the same one I’m thinking of the radio always plays it

That's the one! Definitely not their best work haha. Older stuff holds up better.

No, that’s Sum 41. You’re confusing it with “why’d you only call me when you’re high” probably.

Also, you accidentally said that FOB is a great band. 😅

Nah that's SR-71. Thank you for reminding me of that song anyhow!

Like fall out boy's headline shows don't last for more than 1,5 hours. At a show like this I don't see them playing for longer than a hour.

All the early 2000-mid 2000 rock I’m completely out of loop for lol

Definitely isn't a surprise that something like this is happening. In recent years Crush have paired up a load of their clients for tours. Panic and Weezer, FOB and Panic, so on. The benefit in it for Crush is money as has already been said. The benefit for GD could be gaining new fans, because I would predict that if you asked any teenager these days who is more popular right now, they would say FOB.

In the UK where I am, both Green Day and FOB sell out arenas I believe, I know GD does for sure, so I can picture a stadium show happening but in that photo from a few pages back neither of the venue names are correct as has been mentioned. Although I remember somebody with inside info said they'd heard that GD, FOB and Weezer would be doing a show in London and Yorkshire, where The London Stadium and Huddersfield are respectively. I don't know if this validates or disproves that leaked photo. Either the person making that post has taken what somebody on here said and created a fake poster for the show, or they have the correct information and have gotten the venue names incorrect.

A couple of others have mentioned that they wouldn't mind this tour as long as GD's set doesn't shorten and the prices aren't HUGE. I'm in the same camp as you guys... I'm sure that at this stage of their career GD won't sign up for a tour where their normal set will be cut by an hour so I think how long they play will stay the same. FOB have said in the past that Green Day are one of their icons (I'm sure you've all seen them inducting GD into the Hall of Fame) so I can see them being up for the tour even though their regular set time will be almost cut in half. So I imagine it would be 30 minutes for Weezer, 45 minutes to an hour for FOB, and then GD do their thing! If you factored in a 15 minute changeover between Weezer and FOB and then 30 between FOB and GD, you're looking at 5 hours tops, which is doable I think.

Yeah and weezer doesn’t usually play an extremely long time either. And I wouldn’t worry too much about the length of Green Day’s set. Weezer would probably only play about 45 minutes, which I would be upset about

Also, might be worth doing some Googling to find out who Crush's other clients are. Bcause I would expect Green Day to be paired up with more of them in the future. I cba doing it

😌 Hella Mega Tour... the poster is a unicorn with a guitar... and tix go out for 2 UK shows next week... 🤘🏻

For those who are wondering how much time GD would have on the stage if Weezer and FOB played before them, here's what happened at the Emirates stadium gig with All Time Low and the Kaiser Chiefs:

All Time Low: 10 songs

Kaiser Chiefs: 12 songs

GD: 30 songs

I'm neither for or against a tour with Weezer and FOB, but if it happens I'd imagine Weezer would play about 10 songs, FOB 12-15, and GD about 25-28.
