If this is Panicland (or another band) trying to make something that sounds like Green Day, they've succeeded, and managed to sound even more Green Day than Green Day at points. I'll be annoyed that this isn't what we expected, but you have to give it to them that they've really managed to up their game.

hoax making  snippets that sound better than the last 4 albums? (counting the trilogy as 3)

I liked all of the previous albums, I absolutely love rev rad...we still didn't hear all of this so I wouldn't necessarily say it sounds better but as someone who listens to gd pretty much every day, the song instantly speaks to me as Green Day, but that might just be because I am expecting it too, not because it actually does

It doesn't bother me too much tbh, their music hits me like nothing else in this world, regardless of who produced it, I just love their work and it is pretty much the only band ever that i 100% got into and never stopped loving...except for nightlife ffs that song

well someone with some musical knowledge could easily spend an x amount of time creating specific snippets we hear over and over again and make it as green day as possible is what I meant..that's why I said that this sounds really green day to me,the guitar breakdowns and the drums and shit, y'know

I don't think so. Some people had their posts deleted at their own request, but usually being banned means just not being able to access the site anymore.

you can't make that sound and  mix only with knowledge. you need resources. expensive resources.

Wow what an eventful afternoon. It'd only been like five hours since I last checked on this thread and its all gone to shit. I feel really sorry for those of you that spent lots of time researching and inspecting all these leaks if they do indeed turn out fake. 

 

A single being released on the same day, at the same time, as FOB and Weezer makes no sense to me unless there's a collaboration in there somewhere. If all three bands release a song, Weezer's will get completely forgotten about. 

 

I guess since those leaks are appearing more fake every hour.... its back to checking greenday.com and other potential places with info! 

 

I'm going to shut my eyes for a little bit, they need a break from this screen.

Didn't you think that maybe knowing how detective you are in this forum they put those old audio on purpose and mixed them just to give us a hint about collaborating on harmonies or something else involving that band? I agree with those people who are saying it's too hard to sound  like they do on those leaks. They sound like something that only green day could write, the tipe of melodic line recalling a bit of an East Jesus Nowhere vibe.

I'm thinking what is more likely? Another band recorded music that sounds like Green Day, created artwork, and started lots of internet rumors for trolling purposes, or GD is just leaking audio snippets to tease us. I'd go with the second option as more likely.

I kind of agree with this. It takes ALOT of money to fake all this stuff...and to print actual glossy covers???!

But all indications point to that second option being related to the first. "GD is just leaking audio snippets to tease us" is an extreme simplification at this point.
