pacejunkie punk Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 Put it this way, if they’re NOT behind this wouldn’t they want to post something quickly to dispel the rumor and not have all this coming down on them?

BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 I think we need to step back and think before we get paranoid. This just seems like a super convoluted scam, like a crime from an Agatha Christie book.
cav9mm Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 Anybody asked them about it on social media ?

Jrad Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 I don't follow peoples' reasoning when they say "The band would respond if this was/wasn't true! They wouldn't want us to be upset from the hype!" This isn't how bands or businesses work, lol. Their job isn't to go around patrolling every forum and keeping in line every rumor spoken about them. I guarantee even if they are aware of all of this they could care less.

Cause if panicland faked the leaks, messaging them will only give them the attention they want and make GD fans look bad and if they didn't fake the leaks, they won't have a clue what you're talking about
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 Nevermind, the bad album is back!

dudley dawson Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 I miss the trilogy announcement days, when Billie tweeted out months prior to release that 3 albums were on the way. Those were simpler times, when all of us could keep our sanity and not stress about convoluted clues, possible fake leaks, etc.
Littleshi Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 here i'll go again expand the consciousness

punxie89 Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 Finally caught up with what's been discussed since I went to sleep last night, and wooow...my head hurts now. It just seems waaay too elaborate, and way too much effort if it really is just this other band trying to get their music attention. What exactly would that achieve though, really?? Why promote their music to a fan base that's already established for another band, and who are just going to be sooo pissed off by this prank to not want to give their new music a two second listen to?? And then it was all for nothing. It seems like a ton of effort (i.e., printing multiple vinyls, and a CD version, all wrapped with explicit stickers), and a huge risk and stupid af marketing plan on their part imo. And too stupid to be real. No idea about the recording studio...but isn't it possible that it's a different one, just with similar equipment (I'm sure multiple studios out there have equipment made by the same brands, and similar set ups as well)?? Or that it somehow is the same one, but it's unrelated to that band? Though I agree that if it is, it's kind of odd...I'm pretty sure they don't typically record music in Canada. They usually make the albums between the West and East Coasts of the USA. And I agree with what some of you said about the artwork; that Mike's head looks to be too small for the body that it's attached to (it was the first thing I noticed), and that it's really hard to make out which one is supposed to be Tré. But I still love the title and artwork, and the audio that we've heard of the music sounds amazing, so I'm hoping that at least SOME of this (preferably the music if anything) ends up being true. And that we find out on Tuesday...
