I can see why they did Pop Disaster Tour, but right now they really are okay on their own. Depends on how good the new music does. They don’t sell out American venues as much anymore. I mean american idiot didn’t even sell out in certain places in AmericaÂ

Just the fact that fallout boy is apart of it would sell out probably every show. But if you mean by a better more revered band relying on pop star, rock wannabees than yes i see what you’re saying

I'd rather see them playing smaller venues or touring with a more respectable punk band than with a traveling circus where they grab easy money for playing half their show after a pop band kids come to see.
Guest Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 This thread is moving fast. I've said it before; I'll have to quit my job to keep up once new music, or even just an official announcement, comes. I'm so fucking ready for it all though. My expectations are at an all time high and I'm honestly getting emotional at the realization that a new GD era is so close now. God damn I love this band so much and I love coming on here talking with everyone who are just as crazy about them as I am. Â

That just seems like an embarrassing position to be in haha They had to be moved as headliner early on in the tour cause Blink ended up playing to an empty stadium I don't think they were intentionally making Blink look bad I think they were coming from a humble place. This was around the time that Green Day started to build a reputation for having a high quality arena rock performance. I keep in contact with a retro games podcaster and he saw GD in 2001 at Giants Stadium and he mentions that being the best show he's ever seen live
