The studio the song is in doesn't appear to be any owner by green day nor by Butch Walker. The account is also using the #songsforassholes tag which has been confirmed fake.

You’re wrong on #songsforassholes being fake. It’s the name of a closed Instagram account which all of GD, GD associates, and their family follow. Most likely studio pics, and most likely the source of the recent studio video clips.

What's surprising me is the ancient Greek theme of the painting. That's new and I'm not sure how it supposedly ties in with their religious aesthetic.

Yeah, that account has 69 posts, so there's a plenty of content to share. Maybe they're slowly leaking some of it.

They may not realize the painting isn’t religious 😂. Or they feel it just fits in with the total aesthetic.

Looking back now, American Idiot was too good from them after Warning, but the guys made it with the most epic way possible.

To good as in marketing and awareness wise. Have they ever done something like this? Slowly leak songs and album art in this manner? I honestly didn't think they were aware enough to pull something like this off lmao

I feel like if this was an elaborate prank it would be gone by now. The dr. robertbodack account I mean. GD/Crush have to know what a stir it’s causing and would have reported it by now.

It could be. I assumed it was religious at first too. I wish it wasn't a coincidence though. I mean, the painting depicts Mike as he just killed Billie and Tre carrying him away into the afterlife. What does it MEEEEEAN

They posted few videos to YouTube from the studio before 21st Century Breakdown. They also made it before Trilogy. Trilogy teasers were filmed with professonial camera, I don't remember if they were parts of Quatro documentary but at least they seemed like a filmed material for it. 

 

Edit: Those were clear teasers and showed the guys in the videos, but now they might want do it more "mysterious" way.

Isn't Mike in the place of Apollo? Because Patroclus was actually the one to kill Sarpdeon (his dad is Zeus). And then Apollo killed Patroclus, I guess as some kind of revenge maybe? I don't understand how this narrative ties into anything Green Day related but I would be SUPER hype if we get a Trojan War rock opera.

Oh I thought he was Patroclus because there was no other body but you're absolutely right, who else would be Apollo if not Mike. Plus it was only gods who could be depicted naked and he almost is. Same! I would love that. It's not something I'd expect from them but who knows, maybe Billie got into Homer.

Now Moses. What does he have to do with the Trojan War. My head hurts.

Yes, Mike is Apollo and finally someone is reading inside the paiting to go straight to it's possible meaning associated to the content of the possible record.
