I'm from Miami and have friends going to the Stones concert, will keep ya posted if they tell me of anything. So random that they're here...There are a lot of funky/glam looking hotels in Miami Beach, maybe doing some other video or photos?

It makes sense, actually. There's no reason for the Keith Richards photo other than that Stones are somehow involved. I'm trying not to get too hyped, but it's very exciting.

OT: the RS opening idea is plausible and interesting and would make since for Greg and bill to be there with them. I wonder if JW & JF are there as well.

When was the last time Green Day was another band's opening act? Even just for a one-off.

Edit: Pop Disaster and festivals don't count

Once they passed up an opportunity to open for the Rolling Stones (and went to record Warning? instead) so the idea isn't so outlandish. It's been planned before.

I think a large band like Green Day being asking to open for The Rolling Stones (if that’s what’s happening) is a huge honor. The guys are huge fans, so why wouldn’t they take that offer?

We’ve had Billie’s insta story of the 4 of them in a rehearsal space, and now Tre’s insta post in Miami and Duke’s story saying he’s going there too. Two birds with one stone? Play a quick set and do some album work.

I’m off to get a run in at the gym. Don’t do anything of importance, Green Day. 🤨

It’s not outlandish to think GD opening up for Rolling Stones 

when you think of the legacy and impact and record sales GD aren’t even in the same league as Rolling Stones 

GD themselves wouldn’t feel disrespected as well they’re fans of the Stones and would probably feel honored to do so 

tho it’d be weird as I don’t think Stones had an opening act on this tour I was at the show they did in Houston and it was just them

Last year in Prague they had a local new wave band open for them, so I guess they make exceptions.

Several articles saying there will be no opening act, presumably due to the rescheduling. Juanes had been scheduled to open for them.

Ah and I just remembered the Houston show was a make up show when they canceled earlier this year due to Mick’s health issue

Doors at 6pm and RS on at 8:30pm so would be quite a tight schedule to have an opening act as well (for a show of that size).....if anything I’d say a guest appearance from GD during the RS set more likely.
