Broken Guitars doesn’t follow Billie Eilish so why would it show up as a tag for them? Also, there were 2 separate tags. If it was a mistake, wouldn’t it have been just one tag for Billie E?

Maybe they searched for a "Billie" and chose Eilish first, then realized the mistake and searched again but this time Armstrong was tagged. I think they forgot to remove Eilish until someone warned them on comments.
michael1989 Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 What kind of sound does everyone want from the first single? They did a slower pace song that builds with Oh Love for the trilogy and a fast, angry punk song for Rev Rad. I think something in a similar vein to Give me Novocaine in terms of slower versus but a loud chorus with a great finish.

PleasedToMeetMe Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Bang Bang was the perfect lead single, probably the best one they ever released. It's fast, aggressive and snotty but also poppy, catchy and mature.

RedundantIdiot Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Two random thoughts: Would getting up to 5 singles before the album comes out be ok if the album has the number of songs that Nimrod and 21st CB have? In 2016 the pictures of GD driving around in a car were ~ 2 months before the Bang Bang announcement. Could the middle finger pictures be ~ 2 months before an announcement (September)?
Ross_19 Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 I'm seeing Billie Eilish at Leeds Festival so I'll ask her whats going on, no worries
jengd Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 What about the hairdresser guy, sirdukesynder on IG, “on set with BJ”??? He did all their hair a few months ago and I think for Revrad, are they shooting video??? Not sure if this will work. i know Tre is in Hawaii https://instagram.com/sirdukesnyder?igshid=r9fdv1mtnk2
Thatsername Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Ugh I really hope tagging Billie Eilish was just a mistake. I personally don't like her music, but that's not the point. A GD/Eilish collab would look like a rather desperate attempt for an ageing band to stay relevant for young people. Come on Green Day, don't be like that.... Edit: I don't know if everyone saw my post on Random Green Day News, Kerrang posted a video of how Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy" would sound if it was by Green Day. I hope it's just coincidence and not a hint at something.
UNICORN VOMIT Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 I was waiting for someone to post that Duke was doing Britts hair at their house on her insta story - i thought maybe there was more to Mikes weird insta story. Also Britts insta story today uses a billie elish song😅

Göta Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Ah, I would LOVE a collab between them. I don't see it super likely as their sounds are very different. But I know they're both fan of each other so who knows! I'd be soo ready for it.
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 They'll redeem Nightlife with this. -synths -suspicious number of mentions of a mainstream artist To quote an old meme: brace yourselves.
Ross_19 Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Maybe Green Day are gonna do that thing that all bands running out of ideas do and do an album with at least half of the tracks featuring someone else!

I honestly wouldn't mind that the slightest as long as it came good songs out of it.
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Chances this album won't suck are pretty low. I mean, there's a band that seems a little stuck in their routine trying to revamp their sound with a producer known for working with bands in a similar situation by turning them into generic, sterile pop rock. Collabs fit into this perfectly as well. If it somehow worked out, I'd be very happy though.
MillenniumFan Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Well I certainly hope not, but if the album is Butch Walker induced pop shit anyway, then I don‘t have a reason to care wether they do colabs or not. If it‘s an otherwise great album, then it should be a good song, rather than just a cheap attempt to gain new fans. There‘s nothing intrinsically bad about a collab though.
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 After all, there's nothing to lose. If it's good then we get to enjoy it and if it's not we can meme it and enjoy anyway.

He posted a selfie and said he was gonna delete it right away just to make people nuts. Mike was shooting some video for that cannabis company though so he could have been doing a different thing than whatever Billie was up to. Another question: I think I recall the RevRad video was premiered on Twitch during their Con in 2017, does that sound right? Because their manager just bought tickets to this year’s TwitchCon which is September 27-30 so I’m wondering if that’s gonna be Green Day related.
JOE THE X-KID Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 I'd love if Green Day went full Garage/Foxboro on the new album. Billie seems to enjoy making that kind of music too, but it feels like he's afraid of doing it under 'Green Day'

It wasn't really that style of music that hindered the trilogy though, it was a myriad of reasons. Plus only a handful of songs were more in the garage style the rest were power pop/pop punk etc.
