This is basically what's been happening. We know that Letterbomb is one of the songs. I've also heard Too Much Too Soon was also supposed to be on it. We got to hear Cigarettes and Valentines on Awesome as Fuck... It would be nice to have a compilation though. I'm not sure if they got as far as making an official tracklist but just to hear those songs from their own compilation would be pretty cool. Especially if some of the songs that they have already released are released as their original recordings ... I don't think they have any plans to do this anytime soon but I could see them later on as they get older doing a throwback like that. It would be cool to have them celebrate an American Idiot anniversary with a special anniversary edition that has American Idiot packaged with Cigarettes and Valentines.

Yeah exactly, think there'll be others that will pop up and probably one or two that are already out and we don't realise. I'd love a studio version of the title track
pacejunkie punk Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 I would just like the actual tracklist confirmed by GD since even that is still a mystery. There are so many theories as to what songs were even on the album.
Jirachi Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Part of me: "I can't wait for summer! Probably new Green Day stuff! :D" Part of me: "Fuck its almost summer and im in California, im gonna die of a heat stroke by week 2 of it ;-;" Im a very conflicted person rn :<
Asik Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Green day should collaborate with billie eilish and make a great song

I'd love a studio version of the title track I'd love to hear all the other tracks. I don't mind the title track but I'm sure they had something on there that was better. It was obviously the best choice to go into the direction of American Idiot but as we've been discussing here for weeks with the band being on a bit of a decline as of late it would be nice to finally hear this at this point in time. It would be fresh songs from a time where they were very very good. 2 hours ago, pacejunkie punk said: I would just like the actual tracklist confirmed by GD since even that is still a mystery. Letterbomb and Too Much Too Soon were confirmed as C&V songs but yes definitely a lot of theories around this. I remember an old theory where they were saying The Network's album was really C&V. I wouldn't be surprised if a song or two actually was but not the entire album. From all the info I've gathered around C&V over the years I could imagine Roshambo being one of the songs on it for sure.
WhiteTim Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 So Mike is vacationing at a Hollywood Hotel that has also has a exclusive recording studio inside the hotel...

So the thing being announced this week none of us expected is a Mike solo track!! Jk that would be cool though his vocals are underrated

pacejunkie punk Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 As I said, these are all just rumors. The band has never confirmed what exactly was on it in its entirety
BratReject23 Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 So basket case demo is rounding somewhere on the Internet right now. That's the single we were waiting for😁
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 They recyclate ideas from songs that don't make the cut, so maybe the songs we know aren't the exact ones from C&V but they used parts of them or ideas from the CV sessions to create new songs. Like when they said Youngblood is an older song with new lyrics etc.

If I understood well Matt, there is a single coming this June but it isn't the one we're expecting, summer will be all about GD but it isn't summer yet, the new album has been finished once but then a second time... Ok, in other words: 1- Single: if I refer to the possible track list, Peace can't be the first single. Why would it be? Most of the time, a first single from whatever artist occupies the position of song #3 or #1, or less often #2 in a album's track listing. It isn't always the case, but it is often like this (or I miraculously have a big collection of near 200 albums with lead singles being placed at #3 and #1 position). Peace is #7 in the track list. I don't expect it to be the first single. 2- It isn't summer yet, but it will be on friday 21th. New music is most of the time released on friday. 3- The album has been modified if it has been finished twice. Right? You've got me on a whole new thing with Green Day with this track number of the single business. I looked up a handful of other artists and the lead single IS typically one of the first four tracks. Here's the rundown: With Green Day's lead singles: Dookie - #4 Insomniac - #4 Nimrod - #2 Warning - #11 Idiot - #1 Breakdown - #3 Uno - #12 Dos - #7 (the rumored track number of "peace") Tre - #12 A couple from the end of album and one #7, the rest being the first four tracks. Interesting. Makes me wonder what if the sound of the album as a whole makes an impact on if a earlier track or later track is chosen for a single. As in, do poppier sounding albums place their singles at the end, or other than singles at the front is there no rhyme or reason?
alienlifeform Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Most of what could have been Cigarettes and Valentines are probably on this picture shared by John Roecker, nor long ago

PleasedToMeetMe Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 I think when this album is released they should bring THE LIVING END on tour with them.

I’m so sorry he didn’t record that, Baby Blue and Dreamcatcher and release them with the other Longshot EPs. I’ve always said some of the best songs he’s ever written are ones he’s just tossed away (besides these, there’s also Favorite Son, When It’s Time, Devil’s Kind, Fever Blister and Body Bag) Some he’s managed to reclaim but others he still hasn’t.
Little Boy Named Booze Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 Don't know if I'm out of topic but since we're talking about Olivia just watch this. This guy re-upload his Olivia version this week. The song is incredible.
Redundantuserjinxboy Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 Off topic but The Forgotten Dookiefied is even better than the actual song imo
GDFan2019 Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 I wonder if we’ll ever get a studio version of Minnesota Girl
