Every year there becomes a point where I realize I’m not in a friendly place but a dungeon of people behind their keyboards obsessing about everything and nothing.

This is exactly why I haven't signed in for 5 years. This place was (and obv still is) so negative I didn't even enjoy coming to a place where I hoped would be awesome to share excitement about my favorite band with.

Ha, I know. I was just kidding. You're not whining, and it really isn't allowed, but for some reason people just can't seem to let the little things go. It's not unique to here and it's nothing new here. It's just how things work online, especially when people are logged on at different times and need to catch up on threads where the discussion may already be over until the newly-logged-in users churn it up again. 

Sometimes things can just naturally work themselves out without mods getting involved and issuing warning points, which is why there isn't always immediate action in a thread when things get off-topic. Which is what I hope can happen here, because we really don't need to get off-topic about something so silly.

I in general don’t find that to be the case but I hear it from everyone that leaves and they all  eventually do.

I can be a dick. No doubt. But I’m only a dick when I get my back up and I only get my back up when some way over the top Green Day fans start ranting about the abbreviation to a song/album even after when someone “corrected” me I said “okay, this will be an argument so can I just admit I’m wrong” (paraphrased) and that doesn’t work.

You see kids, what happens then, like any other argument, it becomes about the argument and not about the abbreviation.

This exists because you people that just have to rub the fire just to start one should punch yourselves.

But since the gloves are off, if you can’t figure out what TCB is, right or wrong, you’re a fucking moron. Lol. (Not directed at anyone).

The rules are very lax here which I like but there should be a “don’t be a whiny fucker” rule and the first person to be a dick (not the second) should get an inmediate perminant ban.

Although im third in line in being a whiny fucker here. I’ll take one for the team and proudly accept a permanent ban for my current behavior.

Not gonna lie to you, I haven't been reading the last few pages because this is so petty. You're arguing about abbreviations. 

I'm only contributing to a argument that needs to be stopped here and probably am coming into this at a wrong angle but alas.

Adam, you're a smart guy. You probably will roast me after I typed this out in a manner which I can't respond to. But you need to get over your GD (the abbreviation of which is Giant Dick in this case) boner of Green Day knowledge you have. Some people don't know everything you do about side-projects and the inner workings of the band and abbreviations and the like. Just let people enjoy the music and the shows apart from carrying on arguments so you can satisfy your ego.

I don’t often quote myself although I’m so quotable maybe I’ll just start only quoting me.

This was the post IMMEDIATELY after I was informed of my dastardly deed of using the first letters of the album to make the abbreviation.

Now I said, again premtively and there was no argument happening. It should have ended RIGHT FUCKING HERE with adults that have full brain capacity.

HOWEVER, the original poster and then another decided they had to ride the wave of my wrongness even though I half heartedly (admit) but indeed just say “okay fine”.

It doesn’t take a master minded arbitrator or magistrate to figure out that a reasonable person would have left it at that. Normally I would just ignore it but I’m in a mood and since I wasn’t starting shit, I have every right to react and say what the fuck is wrong with some people here.

In terms of the Longshot,  today seems much quieter in revelations, etc.  I keep expecting the frenzy to continue on some manic peak.  Are there people going who can post live videos or whatever.  So excited to see what they play and who will be the band.
