I have never had a problem with the vocal filters....until this preview. Man oh man there are some parts where the vocals sound terrible. It kind of reminds of the sound that comes from yelling really close to a microphone on a phone or camera.

Other than that, the preview sounds nice!

Awesome tune with a country twang. But wow, maybe it's supposed to be this way, but the vocal filters are annoying. Maybe it's just a stylistic thing in the verses?

I'm not totally sure if what we are hearing in these previews are the final mixes for the songs. It seems like all of them have unbalanced sounds/rough mixes. But of course this could also be a product of the shitty headphones I'm listening with

 

Edit: to further my point if you listen to the mix of the 21st century breakdown demo, it sounds a lot like these previews - but the final mix of that song is much more balanced than the demo

Can I go out on a limb and say anyone who was a fan of the trilogy sound will probably like this? It sounds like trilogy style song writing with less glossy production. Which I am very satisfied with.

Seems like where he was going with the Otis remix, that he wanted a dirtier sound for the Trilogy and these songs are kind of a do over while still moving forward.

Remember, it's not over until your underground!  Yeah, I'd go underground Longshot, since I've already seen Green Day live once.  Still not entirely sure what the difference is going to be.  The clips we've heard so far sound pretty much like Green Day music.

I was outside when they did the sound check (dreamcatcher and oh girl), completely oblivious to the songs being played 🙈 due to being quite pregnant and having to go to find somewhere to sit down. What a missed opportunity!
