imXieli Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 eventually is sooner than you think... and they could be calling it "the longshots" in a way to make a horribly good joke about how these would be "longshots" to make it on albums. body bag, i remember before revrad was fully announced and bang bang was only just announced tre cool had an instagram post with him saying "kill your television" and i remember a rumor somebody said, i forget if it was on this board or somewhere else, that "Kill your television" was most definitely a lyric on their forthcoming album, which to my knowledge never saw the light of day. this has me way more excited than it probably should but even the idea of this being a b-side compilation from recent years (OR AN UPCOMING GD ALBUM!! unlikely but wishful thinking) has me very VERY intrigued. the boys seem to work faster than we thought.

He did mention something about it but I remember it being vague and it sounded like it wasn't going to happen, I feel like they were either going to release a greatest hits OR b-sides comp, not both, but I could be remembering that wrong... @LaughingClock care to clear this up?

After the fun with the Coverups account it could be a way to get fans intrigued thinking it’s another side project and then it turns out to be an album called Green Day - Longshots or something.

Billie likes to play games with us, he teased us with the Coverups and with his self-shot Troubled Times video. So this would totally make sense to me. If I can make a wish, please release the b-sides along with a live-DVD or -album from the RevRad tour. Hi Billie

Haha honestly I bet you're right. Or they might just not wanna blow it up into a big thing over night. I don't know if 10k people have found this account but I bet it's a couple hundred at least. Letting a dozen or so in every few days lets them maintain the mystery a bit. I just hope I'm in the next batch. Even if I get rejected that's fine (though disappointing). The waiting is the hardest part .

I don’t feel like I’m missing anything other than the chance to leave a comment. I’m sure Billie knows that the posts are already being shared which is why there is no urgency to open it up any wider than it is. Maybe he wants keep the media out.

Totally just tossing up a suggestion though. Personally, I'd love for this to be the b-side/unreleased theory.

Not sure but I remember watching it. He’s a musician too and writes and records his own music as a hobby. Not sure if that’s related to this “project” though since I doubt it would be publicized at all. I’m sure with his own studio Billie does a lot with family members and friends that we don’t hear about.
