From memory, they said they only recorded 12 tracks for Rev Rad, which seemed like a low number given the time between the release of that and the trilogy. Maybe they meant they only recorded 12 Green Day songs and some or all of this was also recorded during those sessions.

No, they said they did no extra tracks during RevRad, that every track was on the record. We know at least two of these Longshot tracks were from earlier projects, I’m guessing many of them were just unused songs and were reworked and recorded quickly at Otis in February when the Coverups were quiet. They wrote and recorded The Foxboro Hot Tubs record in something like a few days.

It's an interesting Theory, but it's been roughly two years since they were in the RevRad recording sessions. Have to think this batch of songs was done much more recently.

January of February? I guarentee it wasn't recorded back in 2016 with RevRad.

Just putting it here in case someone has trouble seeing it I still hope for an announcement on april 1st. Already jealous of everyone living in (or having the opportunity to travel to) the US for possible future live shows!

Maybe he’s collaborating with a bunch of people to make the album and the name The Longshot is his alter ego like David Bowie use to go by Ziggy Stardust. This is just my guess. I think the songs are original songs written for all different eras from the 60’s until now. I’m just guessing about all of this but that’s what’s made sense to me when I think about all the pictures we have seen.

Like Brandon Flowers he does The Killers and sometimes he will go on his own and do a solo album. That’s what I meant with Billie that maybe he was going to do that it was just me guessing. I didn’t mean to start a big thing over it.
