So I picked this up at Sephora and here's my review for anyone who cares:
As I think some people have mentioned, not all stores have rolled it out so if you're looking and don't see it, just ask. Finally got home and was able to test it out. I am laughing at the idea that this is called "anti-precision" eyeliner. It's the most precise eyeliner I've ever used, haha (keep in mind though I only use pencils not liquid). I had to work to smudge it and you only get like five seconds before it dries and then it will not budge (seriously). For anyone who was hesitant because you thought it was too thick/intense, it's really not. There's a pretty fine tip so you can easily put on just like a thin line. I'm actually struggling because I'm not that precise with my liner application usually and I rely on the messiness to hide that fact. It's also the smoothest eyeliner I've ever used. Like the way it glides is crazy. I usually spend about $20 on eyeliner but this is best product I've gotten for my money by far. Anyway, that's my review. I am going to have to go out and buy more before it's gone for good!

My friend Renee and I went to Sephora today and she was kind enough to buy me one. This is her photo of the display.

It’s still online at Sephora but sold out at Kat’s site. That’s awesome. Also this:

https://www.billboard.com/articles/news/8092579/kat-von-d-basket-case-eyeliner-billie-joe-armstrong

I like the way he brought it up: “I always wear eyeliner on stage. I think I should have my own eyeliner.” Aw, yes you should. 🙂

Also the part about Sid and Nancy was pretty funny. They related to the image apart from the fact that, “we’re both sober and we probably won’t kill each other.” 😂

The billboard article says Billie is donating his fee to ACLU, perhaps that's why they aren't making a big thing of it if it's just him.

.

I thought that even if I didn't buy it, I would definitely take a photo of the stand and I'm laughing now, I wonder if it will become the most photographed stand with all us hunting it down like crazy!

Between this and everything else that's awesome about it I really want it now

I noticed that in a video interview Kat said “a portion of the proceeds” will go to the ALCU so looks like this is what Billie wanted to do with his profits but she’s not. I guess Chimps yes, immigrant rights no (we all know the controversy over her associations)

None of us know what's happening with her profits or any of the details. It's their business what they do with their money. Also she and her family are immigrants :P

I love how quickly this is selling. :)

To be fair, nobody, even rich celebs, can support every single thing that comes their way.  I saw a blog earlier which said they had reached out to Kat for clarification on the monies going to ACLU so maybe we will get more info.

Hopefully Kat will donate at least a portion of hers to the ACLU but I honestly think I don’t wanna know for sure. With all the controversy around her I’d rather just focus on the many good aspects of what my money is going toward (supporting Billie, supporting the ACLU, breaking gender norms, supporting cruelty free make up) and not try to get confirmation on how much of my money is going to an alleged Nazi sympathizer. I had very mixed feelings on it, till I realized I probably wouldn’t own anything if I boycotted every brand that had questionable behavior associated with it. Ugh, why can’t more people just be decent humans like Billie?

Billie called her saying he wanted to generate money for the ACLU through her brand and she said yes and made it happen and she's mentioning the fact in interviews so I don't know why whether she has some kind of problem with supporting the ACLU would even come into question? It's being supported by her brand. We don't know the ins and outs of the money so seems a bit daft to speculate.

Same here. I haven't used an eyeliner pen in 5 years for fuck's sake. I have no justification to want this whatsoever

Stopped into Sephora to kill time today. Not sure if they had any in the back, but the display case was empty.

I’ve had an obnoxiously long day traveling for work and just sat down to watch the video and read more about the collab in between flights. Definitely made my day a bit brighter. It’s awesome that proceeds are going to ACLU.

“I don’t like to use the word guyliner, I think it’s pretty silly.” 😂

Billie is officially an eyeliner icon. Seriously, I did not expect it to do this well.

Like with the Reverb sale, there are times when he turns out to be a bigger celebrity than I think and then times when good/bad stuff happens, cool releases whatever and the media ignores it he turns out to be not half the celebrity we think. Does that make sense? Like I forget sometimes he’s as big a celebrity as he is (because it often doesn’t seem that way).

Yes, that’s why it surprises me. I’m very aware that he’s not a hugely known celebrity. I think that he does have a very loyal base though, and I think that this collaboration (Billie and Kat) is a match made in heaven.

I think you are right, there seems to have been quite a lot of press about it and all positive that I’ve seen.  Everyone seems to think it’s really cool, even without the money that will go to ACLU.  If anything, I’m surprised there hasn’t been more negativity and comment on a male promoting eye liner. Hats off to Billie.
