Like Working Class Hero, I Fought the Law,The Saints Are Coming, Missing You (Otis mix). YES. Maybe there will be another Shenanigans type of album in the future. Now that I think about it, they should have waited until after the release of the Forever Now music video, there's always a possibility that it will become a hit

The Grohl Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Hmm maybe I'll just buy the CD bundle, save some $$$, and then ask for the vinyl for xmas
Little Boy Named Booze Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Back in the USA.... Wondering if it's a rock song or a melody.
imXieli Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 i really hope the music video is for forever now but it will probably be for Back in the USA or OW, sadly. also i'm gonna speculate a bit... we got warning in october 2000 and International Superhits in November 2001... then we got AI. i wonder if they have something big up their sleeves again. billie said trump would never get a song out of him but i have this itching feeling that song is gonna be a anti-establishment song in the style of AI or Holiday. maybe i'm crazy, it's been proven that way before. also, 2000 LYA needs a facelift to be included here! the difference in quality between kerplunk and dookie is especially noticable when back to back

AlissaGoesRAWR Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 I hope the new song is edgy as fuck. I can’t wait to read all the “Green Day should stick to music and stop being political” comments.

It'd be great if it were to be for FN, as we've all been anticipating it. However, it's not on the tracklist. Considering how the only real new thing on there is "Back in the USA," maybe they'll roll with it and give us a video for it too while they're at it. Just now, Patrick Lamontagne said: Are you sure? Grunt Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Hopefully the versions of Longview, Brain Stew, Boulevard and Holiday have clean intros and outros since they segued directly with another song on the albums. Not a huge change, but still a significant enough difference to be another perk for buying this release. The version of Longview on International Superhits was pretty much the same as the one as Dookie, with a few seconds of Chump's final chord ringing out over the drum intro. Happy with the inclusion of Oh Love on this. They better start playing it live now!

Alan86 Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 It should have king for a day on the album twice

Grinch Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 As much as I would like it, I don't really think there would be any change to 2000 LYA. I could see it at the same time since it's the first track on the album so they might want it to pop out more. Maybe a 2000 LYA Otis Mix? There were interviews with the band members in the past talking about how they needed the original tapes to be "baked" for scanning if any pre-dookie songs made it on to Rock Band Green Day. I'm guessing that the poor aging of the tapes made layers of the reels stuck together. I also believe they mentioned how they wanted a remix of the first two albums but I don't remember.
pacejunkie punk Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 That “GFB” with the halo on the paddle would actually make a cool tattoo because only superfans would get it as a Green Day reference.
That Dude Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 I'll buy it...but it seems a bit too much like the first one. They have way more singles than this and that artwork is....I don't like it. Hopefully it will have a nice booklet with lyrics and awesomeness and the new song will rock. I hope Ordinary World is changed up a bit too. Woohoo. I guess.
pacejunkie punk Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 It’s a hits collection though, not a singles collection. Not every single was a hit. This is basically every song that the casual fan would care to own, not what the superfan would think of as their best songs. It hits all the high notes of their career.
Digoco Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Wow! Totally unexpected. Just curious about that video... maybe Forever Now? Or maybe they'll make one for the new song (something similar to C&V in AAF). This made my day.

If it's for the casual fan, i'd also add in Nice Guys Finish Last, Waiting, and Let Yourself Go.
Q-Man Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Would have been cool if the did International Superhits 2 with songs from AI until now. Would cause less overlap with the first and allow for more of the singles from the Trilogy and 21st Century Breakdown.

It was a collection of singles (released on CD, Cassette, Vinyl, etc.). There wouldn't be enough songs. Singles from AI to RevRad are: American Idiot, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Jesus of Suburbia, Holiday, Wake Me Up When September Ends, Know Your Enemy, 21 Guns, Oh Love, Let Yourself Go, and Bang Bang. Only 11 Tracks.
