I think it's just 2000 Light years away, she and ordinary world because of the lack of a music video

Oh right. I thought they were gonna upload the entire thing

I asked if it will be released worldwide and they kind of answered me 'no', idk why because it should be like ISH! and though the candles really tempted me I can't buy it online this time around :( Back in the USA comforts me at least

Wouldn’t make sense it’s more like promotion because YouTube doesn’t count towards streams/sales right? At least I don’t think it does. They want you to stream it on Spotify or buy it on iTunes.

I would just like to point out the brilliance of the line:

"let them drink poison and it tastes like lemonade"

I love all the lyrics. This is exactly why I didn’t want the song to be a cover. I love his lyrics too damn much.

I think youtube does in some way? I'm not really sure but I saw somewhere that it's the #1 streaming service, followed by spotify. I think it counts because they monetize these videos with ads, plus there's youtube red now and all that.

Well I've seen other artists/bands upload entire albums to YouTube. Besides, I don't think GD's promo thinks about what "makes sense" a lot of the time

Well if youtube doesn't count towards streams/sales, it should.

So Green Day's official Youtube channel just uploaded 2000 lightyeas away and She, aaand Ordinary world (audio only). My question here is WHY couldn't you upload one of these songs in a live performance instead??? Jesus. Would have been a lot better that then to just hear a song and see the album art. WHy just why..... :(

Well that would take more effort unless they just did a rushed one and I'd probably prefer them not to make a rushed video unless they put time and effort into them.

And are you aware you you have the same thing written twice?

A mysterious UPS package is coming today that my gf forgot about it and when I looked up the address it mentioned Warner Music. I think this might be a vinyl bundle she got for me for xmas:shifty:

I won't know til xmas. That being said, I do love that they put the CD in a jewel case. I'm sick of digipaks!

Ordinary World was completely butchered... :(

Just got my god vinyl package

It's all so pretty!

Does the vinyl have all the same photos/lyrics, etc. as the CD booklet? I can't decide which version to get because I don't really NEED either, so it's going to come down to the art/paper aspect of it, haha.

I just learned to play Back in the USA. It took all of an hour, but it is fun as fuck and makes me love the damn song even more.

I’ve been pondering the line “every church can have a liquor store” Anyone want to take a stab at interpreting it? I’m stumped.

Well, seems like 2000LYA was remastered for this thing. I didn't remember listening so clearly before.

It's a metaphor (sad but true) for ''evil''. Like, there are no ''pure'' places anymore...

I posted a comment yesterday about me hearing a sort of ''remaster'' in all of the tracks. It could be just a volume editing to make the whole compilation more homogeneous, I don't know...

I'm trying the front-to-back experience...

I really want Trump to tweet about Back in the USA. I feel like we should all send him the video to make sure he sees it.

Right, so some iTunes (Switzerland) stats for God‘s Favorite Band:

The Album is currently number 6. on the alternativ iTunes Switzerland Album Charts and number 20. on the all genres Album Charts.

Back in the USA isn’t charting yet on the standard charts, but it’s at 24th place on the alternative song charts!
