It's the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame 2012.

My fave performance of Letterbomb.

Mine too, I live that the audience look slightly shell shocked, they shouldn't given it's ROCK Hall of Fame, but some of them do. Ā Only surpassedĀ by the agony award performance which I just love, look it up if you haven't seen it and we can discuss Billies redĀ trousers over on the far girl thread Ā :woot:

😱😱😱 Wow that was good!!! And that was April 2012? He looks fine there. Man he deteriorated quickly that summer. I was watching clips yesterday from Echoplex and Shephard's Bush and the difference is startling. Thanks for posting the clip!

No way. Ā Best Letterbomb was Irvine Amphitheater. :)

Random search and the quality sucks but trust me. I think this one is AAF as well, not sure.

What a shame they're taking it down though :ermm: As someone pointed out all the other live streams are still up so I'm guessing it has to do with the fact that it was a charity thing, somehow? But still not sure exactly what they could lose by not leaving it there. Glad it was recorded!

I literally just assumed it's because it featured a live performance. Leaving it up might mean more donations gradually if people come across it when looking at the page so it's completely ridiculous to me. I'm clearly still bitter about the restricted Hyde Park audio :lol:Ā

I really enjoyed this! Totally different way to see them perform just the three of them in a room with no (visible) audience, it's interesting to observe them that way :D. I particularly enjoyed Only Of You with the harmonies, and Coming Clean.

I guess, I've half stopped trying to make sense of their strategies (and that's in less than a year) Just telling myself it's because there's a DVD comingĀ  (tbf on them it's working - we'll all be willing to sell our own families to get our hands on it by the time it happens (which it will... it willĀ ) )

I would imagine it was much like the way it would look during one of their typical practice sessions. They weren't really performing so much as just jamming together and it was so cool to see, like being a fly on the wall.Ā

I am watching the live performance for the 4th or 5th time.. It's just so pleasurable to have it going in the background!Ā
You FINALLY get to really hear Mike and it's awesome! They just know they game! They all are having their moments! So great to see how they have fun with just them 3! Goofing around and all! Such a great thing to watch an hear!Ā
Also the sound is sooo comparable to their very old footage. I think this kind of sound is just MADE for Kerlplunk!

Lovely!

I just rewatched this, I couldn't get a good look at the guitar Billie was using! There was a name on the headstock that I couldn't read, but it didn't look like Fender, maybe another old Fernandes? I also couldn't see if there was an angled humbucker. I wish he would have used Blue, I'm sure there was plenty of time between this performance and the other show that night for Hans to get Blue back in shape!

You can't judge the difference in him/how well he was from a few minutes on TV verses a 2 1/2 hour sweaty club show. I can tell you that I've seen them live more times than I can remember and despite the fact that they were late taking the stage at Shepherds Bush it was the best gig I've ever been to. I've never seen him with so much energy and he was having a blast.Ā

Most of the show is on YouTube and (though I was mostly referring to how much weight he lost from the spring)Ā it looked to me like he was dancing on the edge of control, and at some moments going off entirely and then veering back. It was stranger than usual and that's saying something. Energetic for sure but slightly off the rails and he was barely hanging on.

Actually one of the best bits was we got see Jason White singĀ and dance! Man has moves, who knew?

This. I mean to be fair he was going off the rails at the time and it might be possible to see that with the benefit of hindsight. But as far as I was aware being there it was just an incredibly intense and energetic show and whatever was going on privately/off stageĀ he really did seem to be having a blast for those 2 1/2 hours at least, I couldn't fault the performance.

I don't have a Facebook account but as a member of Idiot Nation (pretty awkward living in France...Ā but not that much after all) I received the info of this FacebookĀ live performance and what it was meant for. I went on the official site of Americares and donated the 30 bucks that I still owned Ā - before receiving my salary for August. The site proposed a minimal predetermined amount of 50 $, but as I didn't have them and knew Billie mentioned 25 $ in the Facebook post, I thought it would be fine to Ā "manually" choose 30 $ as an amount to donate!

I think I often want to give but don't know how. When Billie asks us to give, all of the sudden to me it seems easy; right and obvious. No more superfluous considerations, like the ones I get so often myself trapped into. Thank you, BillieĀ
