LongviewOnParadise Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Can somebody add it to the "Downloads" page?

Clockwise Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 I'm all for more trilogy love, I really like this mix of the song, not sure if I like it more than the original though.
Haushinka! Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 I haven't listened to Green Day in a while so I got surprised when I was checking out the itunes store and saw a "remix" of the track for sale. I admit, I was expecting it to sound completely different considering it's a remix. I like this version, but I'm curious as to why they would randomly release it. Maybe for shits n giggles, or maybe we can expect more?
tomdsjames Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Didn't Mike mention in an interview a while ago that they'd remixed the guitars on some of the Trilogy songs (as in plural)? Wonder if this means we'll start getting new ones released (I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for Rusty James or Let Yourself Go to receive the same treatment.) I agree it is a bit weird suddenly releasing it now though rather than say during downtime in between albums to keep fans interested. It would even make slightly more sense releasing them as B Sides to the RevRad singles though I don't think we're ever going to get a proper 'single' again - these days it pretty much just means released to radio/music video. I would love for Revolution Radio or Forever Now to at the very least get alternative artwork on itunes with an Otis Mix trilogy song as a B Side, if we don't get a physical single.
Marki. Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 So, Billie just confirmed on his instagram live video that there'll be more remixes coming. I'm excited
GreenDayTheory Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Nightlife Remix I guess they thought it's time for trilogy again.
Stefano Bras Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 thank god they didn't just trashed the trilogy just like that

kkpojpojpj Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 So excited about more remixes! I really hope they'll do Lazy Bones.
James11693 Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 I don't really think any of the tracks need to be remixed.. then again I think I'm one of the only ones that loved the trilogy. To me, all of the records had their own distinct sound that's fine the way it is. Though, I am glad they are getting noticed again. Maybe they are thinking of playing songs off it again? It'd be nice to at least hear them play Stay the Night or Oh Love considering they were the two staple tracks played each night during that era.
Spike Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 This is pretty cool but honestly nothing special. Nice to hear the guitars a bit louder, but there's only so much you can do with a remix when you're using the same source material, so it's never going to sound very different. I just wish they'd let it lie at this point. We had Demolicious which was interesting, but I hope they don't continue to rehash this stuff over and over again. What's done is done.
Hero_Of_The_Hour Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 I do hope they remix Nightlife since the existence of Lady Cobra pissed off so many uptight fans
inthehallwaynow Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Green Day fans are a bunch of wishy washy smurfs

Insomniac1984 Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Well, just in case for "FLAC lovers" there is a website in which you could buy this song as FLAC, too. Fell for you (Otis Mix, FLAC)
Montclare Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 I'd love a version of Nightlife without Lady Cobra's vocals. I love the music for it (you can hear it during Cuatro).
Eric Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 Need a Nightlife version with a bonus rap verse added to the remix
BillieJoeDude Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 ohmygod its so useless. ITS FUCKING USELESS. I WAS LOKING FORWARD TO THIS FUCKING SONG AND IT HAS INHENCED MY LIFE INNO SIGNIFICANT WAY WAY
Mega Man Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Nowadays, people's expectation for a remix are for something to have a drastically different instrumental track among other additions, when in reality it can be as subtle as mixing the original tracks to achieve a different sound (kind of self-explanatory, but still). First of all, I'll just put it out there that I like. Aside from being a sucker for any new Green Day, it just had a completely different vibe to it, and added to a song I already enjoyed. It seems like Green Day looked at the trilogy as a disappointment, and part of that stems from the fact that they didn't channel that certain live energy in the production. While Demolicious immediately remedied this, the Fell For You remix seems to be another product of that mindset. What comes next? Who knows. I'd love an EP or something with more remixes and/or non-LP tracks. On the topic of remixes, I really can barely distinguish the Jerky Boys remix of 2000 Light Years Away, nor the Richard Dodd Medium Wide Mix of Redundant (I've also heard he remixed the entire Nimrod album for an Australian boxset). Those seem pretty minimum compared to the new Otis Remix.
Insomniac1984 Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 If you can't buy this song in qobuz, here's another website to buy it as Mp3 320kbps or FLAC 16 bits/44.1 khz. 7digital Fell for you Otis Mix
