thundercatmary Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 I actually really like Kill the DJ, both the song and video. Also like this video, very different but I like both.

Don't wanna boast but I might as well change my username to Sherlock Holmes.
Montclare Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 I like how at 2:38 the modern day, high def look switches over to the retro look of the 90s film.
21guns&novacaine Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 I love the split second where the camera pans up enough to show 'Sweet Children' written on the beam. Cool little detail.
WhiteTim Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 This video to me is just eh average it's not the worst but it's not the greatest last video I liked was Stay The Night

It's SO CLEAR I've never seen a music video like it. Check out the VEVO Version in 1080p, it's even more clear. https://www.vevo.com/watch/green-day/Revolution-Radio/USREV1700061
BeachBum Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 The video is a meh for me. It's cute but didn't really grab my attention. Also the lighting in the new footage really did nothing for me.
Jean Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 I like the video. They all look fucking good. I just wish they would have used this concept a few years ago for X-Kid instead.
reneetaleena Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 It would be cool if they released more of that 1993 performance.
Montclare Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Just watched a couple more times and I'm good with it. I think the only change I would make is in the editing- do a close up of current Billie, then go to 90s Billie. They did that right at the end, but I would like it more if they had done it throughout the video. The cuts feel a bit haphazard.

Ritz Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 It was okay, I guess. It did nothing for me, apart from nostalgic feels.

Hermione Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Normally I find performance videos exceptionally dull but this one is very aesthetically pleasing and the old clips are extremely awesome. So I approve. Not an AMAZING music video but I'm entertained by it and it's cool just to have a video that showcases their early days so awesomely. It also showcases how great the band is looking. I like Billie and Tre's matching blue shirt/hair
JellyTime Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 The idea was good, realization - not altogether. It's just boring. Hardcore fans will get the meaning behind this footage, but random person will see the band performing in empty hall and some old shots. I think it isn't good promo material.
DeJennsitized Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Cute but underwhelming is my initial reaction. The old Gilman shots were cool, and I liked that they were playing in an empty Gilman for present day - adds to the nostalgic feel and i dunno if I could deal with yet another fake crowd I'll watch it in HD later and see if it makes it more enjoyable

This pretty much sums up my opinion. I love it's at Gilman and I think it also fits the song, but I was waiting for something more to happen when I watched it.
pouty bitch Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Okay, this is hands down my favourite GD music video. I love the shots of when they played Gilman in the early days, I love the shots of them playing in Gilman now, I love Tre's silly facial expressions and I love his hair. 38 minutes ago, AimieeSmith said: Anyone else notice this ? ...... I was gonna mention that. That was my favourite part of the video.
Caroline Truong Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 I love 360 angel shot or whatever that is call and they show wide shot of the band..and color is amazing.. I have to admit from re-watching again and again..it is not Super great but it is plain and simple is good enough
Sarcasm Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 this album, that has like 2 songs about the political climate in the midst of the most catastrophic president of all time, didn't even try to do anything with the lyrical content. Haven't been this disappointed in GD for a while, that was boring.
