gd86arg Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 RevRad Era is definitely leaving us the best videos in a long time. imho
Exdarken Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Billie and mike looks so bored and tired, only tre do funny faces and things, a little disappointing.
stories and songs Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 That was more nostalgic than I was anticipating. Cool. Is it just me or is the HD so intense that it looks like you could touch them? It's SO CLEAR I've never seen a music video like it.

Watching it on the Twitch page was awesome, especially with the HD. So much clarity!
MaraGreenDay Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Meh. Love the old footage, but that could have been better for a video of Outlaws, this has nothing to do with the song, it seems more to promote Turn It Around. I'm disappointed lol, oh well, good thing I didn't had high expectations for this one.
Jimmy Strummer Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Was it actually filmed inside Gilman? It looked a lot bigger and I thought I saw some different stuff in there structurally. Either that or I just imagined Gilman to be a lot smaller. Also, if you thought Gilman members were pissed about Green Day's 2015 show being pro-shot for the Spotify Landmark series, imagine how pissed they're gonna be that the band shot a major-label music video there!

Yeah it almost feels like something's not right, like it's raw footage I'm not supposed to see
Shahd Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 It's 7 am here, and I kinda forgot to set my alarm to watch this but my body decided to wake me up anyways I liked that they mixed up the old footage with new ones, totally loved Tré's energy in it! But I guess we all expected something more after building up so much expectations for months, still great though.
Stefano Bras Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Man what a song. Still, I agree that the whole theme fitted Outlaws better.
JardyOfSuburbia Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 That video was underwhelming. Not sure if this was better or worse than Still Breathing, but these music videos for this album have been lackluster. This song could have had a powerful visual message to go with it, but they opted to poorly edit older footage into the video which made no sense. As stated by others, the montage clips would have been better suited for Outlaws. The editing just didn't even match up with the music.

I'm disapointed lol, oh well, good thing I didn't had high expectations for this one. It does coincide pretty well with Turn It Around but I think it suits the song too (although Outlaws, maybe with some epic JOS-like drama on the side would've been sweet). I think Billie described the album/song as an anthem for the freaks and weirdos and Gilman is where those people came together.
The Grohl Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Video was nothing special, but I loved that it premiered on Twitch. It reminded me of when music videos had "world premieres." It was a cool shared experience that we don't really get with videos anymore. The raw footage was cool, but the way it was filmed seemed like it was more of a tie-in for Turn it Around. And of course, the band looks great, so that's a plus.
Grinch Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 I don't think sad nostalgic music fits playing in Gilman. Revolution Radio is one of their punkier songs on the album so it fits well.

Billie either had no idea what he started by throwing that in there on new years eve, or he's a twisted fuck
thundercatmary Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 I liked it, it was nice to see the old footage and to see that against their current selves was cool.
DookieLukie Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Meh. Adds nothing to their body of work. Pretty paint by the numbers. Their performance was very dull and lacked energy as well. Why not do a different song and make a really cool video?
Hell Cat Troll Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 BJ's still wearing that black and blue striped shirt. Aw.
The Grohl Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 I will say the RevRad videos are more memorable then the ones from the Trilogy.

Schlappy Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 They should have had a bunch of old clips instead of just from two shows. If youre gonna go for it, go for it
DookieLukie Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Billie's hair has looked very odd this era. Bounces unnaturally and has a plastic-like shine. Any chance he wears a hair system?

unextraordinarygirl Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 I just saw the video on youtube and I love it. The mix of old and new footage at Gilman is cool.
