This is too hard, the obvious choice would be JoS since I've loved it for so long, but I gave my vote to American Eulogy because hearing it live was just something else ()

If American Eulogy is in the list, Christie Road shuld also be... It also has two marked different parts with different riffs. I think Christie Road was the first Green Day mini Suite (same as mini than American Eulogy)...

It's great but it is just a regular song. It isn't multi-sectional which is what they got here. I thought 21CB shouldn't be on the list either but I guess this is really just songs over 6 minutes in length now?

Jesus of Suburbia is rad! But I'll also go for Dirty Rotten Bastards and Forever Now.

A Quick One (While He's away), despite being a cover (like MMy Generation or Knowledge), should be in the llist. It has more arguments for being there than American Eulogy or 21st Century Breakdown... Wich is the Criteria for being a Suite?

It was between JOS, Homecoming and American Eulogy for me. In the end, I picked American Eulogy.

It was really close between Forever Now and JOS - I ended up choosing Forever Now, only because at the moment the lyrics really hit me (especially having just seen it live for the first time).

But JOS is also a very emotional and raw song for me.
That doesn't mean I love any of the other songs less, they are all amazing, and I have different connections to each one of them.

Homecoming.  Jesus of Surburbia a close second.

1) Forever Now: for me the best Green Day song ever (curiously released in their, for me, worst album)

2) Homecoming: The best song of American Idiot (followed by Whatsername)

3) Dirty Rotten Bastards: best trilogy song (fighting close with Walk Away). Very underrated song.

4) A Quick One While He's Away: is a cover, but much better than the Who original one.

5) Jesus  of Suburbia: altern 2 great parts (I don't care, tales form another broken home) and regular parts (rest of the song)...

6) 21st Century Breakdown: only the part of the class of 13... The rest of the song sucks

7) America Eulogy: for me is not a Suite... Only two (very similar riff) parts, as many others Green Day "regular" songs

Jesus of Suburbia because it's the centerpiece of American Idiot and the song which elevates American Idiot above all other rock albums of the 21st Century (though the Black Parade and 21st Century Breakdown come close). A lyrical masterpiece that introduces us to the brilliant storyline of the record. Homecoming is a bit underrated in my opinion and really is a successful and satisfying ending of the story and creative with the Tré part. 21st Century Breakdown is just epic as fuck, but it can't top JoS. American Eulogy is also underrated. It think it would have done better if it had been a three part song instead of a two part track. Dirty Rotten Bastards is so good instrumentally, but the lyrics are too random and the song as a whole feels like three songlets which have not been properly fused together. Personally, Forever Now means the most to me on an emotional level and the integration and transition between the various parts, particularly between 'A Better Way to Die' and 'Somewhere Now (reprise)', is just brilliant.

I also think their cover of A Quick One (While He's Away) on the bonus versions of 21CB deserves an honorable mention. A bloody good cover, as all covers from AI and 21Cb era are.

wich cover is from AI era?

Not really, they didn't write it and I assume the focus of the poll is on songs written by Green Day rather than just any song they've played. By that logic if Billie Joe ever played the Stairway to Heaven intro between songs or during soundcheck that should go on the list

To be fair, A Quick One was performed in its entirety and was recorded. But still, the credit would have to go to The Who for writing this (and many other great songs by the way).

Corcerning the vote:

For me: It was a choice between JOS and Homecoming. ''Forever Now'' is ok, and I do like the songs from 21st CB, but they don't come anywhere near JOS or Homecoming.
