Karl Karlson Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 What does "My head's above the rain and roses" from 'Still Breathing' mean? Never heard that expression and I can't come to a logical explanation on my own. Quote

I don't think it's an actual expression or phrase (unless I've just not heard it), but it's pretty much a metaphor for "I could be in the grave but I'm not". Like, rain falling on the flowers laid on the grave and his head's above it because he's not there. 6 Quote

21guns&novacaine Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 Has the current tour been officially branded with Revolution Radio? If not, I was wondering if that explained the lack of US and other country dates. Like this is more of a 'warm up' tour for them before they go all out. Quote

This is definitely the "proper" tour, if they tour this album again it could have a different name. That said, their previous big tours have had multiple legs with the same branding. I saw them twice on the Breakdown tour 8 months apart in the same city. 2 Quote

DannyDirnt Posted October 3, 2016 Posted October 3, 2016 Guys, do you know some fake album names pre-Trilogy? You know, like the names people thought it would have before it was officially announce. I want to make my own DIY album with the songs I like Also is that thing about Green Day wanting to lose some of their fanbase with Insomniac because they were afraid of falling out true or just some rumour/fake story? I interpreted it as "I don't even care anymore, I'm above all that shit", with the rain being the bad things and the roses being the good things. Like small things don't even affect his humor anymore. Quote

Apart from the font, it would have been an amazing album cover. Kinda bummed they didn't go with that but I guess people would have expected a more hardcore album than it was it did fit the album theme in the end 2 Quote

moonj17 Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 This random question is for anyone in the NY/NJ area... I'm wondering what radio stations, if any, are playing the new GD songs? I typically listen to Q104.3, which is primarily a classic rock station, and they do play a decent amount of older GD songs, but I only heard Bang Bang once when they were giving away tickets during a Sunday night new music program on the station. I do flip to other stations, but haven't heard anything at all from RevRad anywhere. Quote
