pacejunkie punk Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 https://americansongwriter.com/5-songs-you-didnt-know-billie-joe-armstrong-wrote-for-other-artists/ That Shrives song is great I’ve never heard it before. You can tell it was written in 2015 it sounds very much like the stuff he wrote for Les Skunks in Ordinary World. The Go-Go’s song is also good it has Billie’s style and sound all over it. 4
Rumpelstiltskin2000 Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 Billie gets thanks from Jesse Malin on the rerelease of his Glitter in the Gutter album 2 1
jengd Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 Green Day Rock and Roll - Italy shared this in FB. Don’t know if they are here or not. I have no Italian and don’t know when or if this be available outside Italy but I guess Billie will be talking in English so hope to be able to listen! Grateful for any help. 1

I think it hasn’t embedded. Are they doing a Q&A or something like that?

Link here, but it's just a summary (you can use Google to translate the page to English). There's no link to the podcast. Hope someone can find it online: https://www.virginradio.it/news/rock-news/1285057/green-day-dalla-canzone-preferita-all-album-piu-frainteso-billie-joe-armstrong-racconta-i-momenti-migliori-della-band.html?fbclid=IwAR0mVsQDAP4tkJGP0ZZ36UDNDn-kWTq-rwcff5pm4KEedvt1woC3Pr2R9MM Sounds like it's news about the interview but the podcast itself isn't out yet. It's not Italian, Craig Jenkins is an American music journalist. I'm glad to see Billie doing more podcasts. I look forward to this, even though there are no major revelations in the article. 2 1
jengd Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 Sorry, didn’t notice link dropped off, never thought to check on journalist, just assumed 🤦♀️

Oh so it’s just an interview from last April back when the Audible Original came out? Damn, old news. I thought he did a new podcast. Thanks for finding this, it’s a decent interview overall 1

It really surprised me at the time how limited some of these things are and I was really only thinking about getting hold of it in English at the time! Surely a company like Amazon should be better at getting transcriptions and translations of this stuff down by now. Did you find a transcription? 1

No. I did my best somehow with automatic English subtitles on youtube, which are not very reliable, and a function extension on chrome, but it is a mystery if I am grasping the exact content 😂
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 It seems the original book content isn’t localized at all.
jengd Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 I could't get it at the time, even emailed their customer services and they told me there was no expectation of making it available outside the US. Got it from @Beyza I think. 1
pcj Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 Even though its an old podcast, I'd missed the original issue date. So thanks for posting the links really appreciated it. You guys are amazing. If you want to find out anything about Green Day old or new, only this site can deliver. Love yer. 4

Have they resurfaced somewhere? I saw Lydia reposted her old statement yesterday and I was wondering why now. Have you seen something that she saw too?
