Yeah :D It must feel awful when you later realise that you've been talking about facts that weren't facts at all :D

I felt bad for the guy when he struggled with pronouncing "idiot".

Me too :D I really didn't get the impression he felt comfortable or keen on talking about this shiny new album Radio Revolution :D I think I'm going to call it like that cuz it sounds really funny :D

It actually sounds pretty cool, like a name of an actual station. Radio Free Europe or something like that. :DI think the guy tried, and sounded kind of interested but it was super out of place. Still, I was very happy they featured Green Day. It finally dawned on my how classic they have become.

Haha :D That would be a station to listen to! :D

Yes, it was a little strange. It made me wonder if it was payed promo (which is unlikely because their listeners are hardly Green Day's target group), they usually are on-point with their facts on cro+. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how Honza Vedral talked about them - I was decided to never pay attention to his opinions about Green Day since he bashed 21CB and said Uno was their best album since Warning and this was quite allright. I actually agreed with him.

The interviewer sounded quite excited but couldn't get anything right haha

Yeah, exactly, it's a bit strange... I wouldn't expect to hear about them there, but if the radio guy was interested and wanted to talk about them, why didn't he get the album title right  I also felt a bit sorry for him. I wonder who actually decided to include this little interview. And what, did Vedral seriously say that about 21st CB :o Wow. I quite liked how he talked about RevRad.

My mom has become quite supportive lately. She seemed genuinely excited when I told her about the show. Needless to say I'm very happy about it.

That's really great  Happy for you.

I watched the Today show segment. Billie looks so tired! I forgot he's doing double duty on promo for the album and the movie.

I know, right? It was super weird

Yeah, it was in his review for Uno, along with speculation that iHeart was a publicity stunt. I liked the way he talked about revrad too. I was surprised I could agree with him this time.

Also, thanks :)

What, my first thought was to look up his review but maybe not, I don't wanna get mad :P Anyway, hopefully we can hear more positive things around here soon :)

I couldn't find it now but he was one of the few reviewers who actually liked the album so even though I didn't agree with him, I was glad he wrote it. :P

It was the same kind of trilogy positivity as Seagull's but that's better than nothing. :D

Oh okay, that's true :D
I should probably move this out of this thread but oh my god, I just tried to look up his reviews and found this and it still makes me as mad as when I read it 6 years ago. It was the best show ever, he doesn't get it at all. I didn't know it's this guy. Don't mind me, I have to go calm down now

I wasn't even there but it made me soooooooooooooooooooo butthurt! Most reviews I read were like that - strangely enough, most Czech writers seem to dislike them. Look up what came out in Lidové noviny about that show. Holy shit, I'm still mad! A proud Bush supporter wrote that article.

Aaaaaaah. I managed to happily forget about this until today and will try to do it again, everyone who was there knows that the show was incredible, they played the longest set out of all the European shows, for god's sake! :P don't know why a lot of journalists dislike them.

'Bridgette Quinn's 22 Minutes' with Billie Joe Armstrong video:

http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2016/10/12/22-minutes-billie-joe-armstrong/

Another great interview with Billie about Ordinary World and RevRad. Not much new to learn, but I did enjoy the part where Billie reflects on performing with Paul and Ringo at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame ceremony. Also, I continue to wonder if these journalists sitting across from him think, "Geez, this guy is kind of adorable."

To be honest, she needed to do more research about him, well I think :P but yeah, I love how excited he looked when he talked about Ringo and Paul, and about the AI movie and St. Jimmy, "Better hurry up, I'm not getting any younger" haha, and yes, so adorable

@Mara Garcia Green Day The question about Mike being his drummer gave some indication that she hadn't done much reading up on him.  There are only three names to remember!

Please discuss the 22 minutes interview in this thread:

Also a reminder that if there's a brand new Green Day interview feel free to make a thread for it! This thread is just for random/small things.

Yes, you can make a thread for anything you think is worth having its own thread/that you think would get more discussion than just a couple of replies or likes. Obviously it isn't always easy to decide whether something would fit better here or in its own thread, and you don't need to worry about it too much because a mod or another member can always make a thread for something posted in here if they think it deserves it. But as long as it fits that description for you always feel free to go ahead and give it its own thread if you want, we prefer that to having everything crammed in here.

Ah, sorry about the bad memories I brought back :P I really find it fascinating how bad reception they get from critics here because they are much more respected anywhere else.

Don't worry :P Thanks to you I could hear someone talking about them here again, which was really nice. I feel like it's always the same whenever someone talks/writes about Green Day in this country though... It makes me happy when it happens, but I usually end up annoyed because they get something wrong or just say silly things in general. I haven't read many reviews by local music critics, I think I subconsciously avoid them :P I will read some on the new album though, I'm interested to see what they have to say about it.
