Insomniac is the the most creative one of the bunch, though American Idiot is just so iconic in its simplicity and Dookie is so exuberant that it is difficult to say that on is the best. It depends very much on your musical preference as well as other criteria used.

Insomniac is such a cool cover. I agree with @Scattered Wreck that American Idiot is powerful in its simplicity, but looking at the art on its own, Insomniac wins out.

I actually ended up framing my Insomniac cover. It's well preserved and hanging on my wall.

I'm actually planning to try this with other albums and their art as well. I don't use my cds anymore, but they could be saved in many types of shadowbox arrangements. I can't really bring myself to throw them out.

Glad somebody voted for Nimrod! Surprised the Warning cover isn't more popular as well. Being the only one with the band on it.
