TheOneIWant Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 Interesting that there is no Shenanigans tape included in this.
Ric503 Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 Would love to have one but I'm already buying stuff to start recording some videos for YT and with 200$ I could already buy a new amp or a better camera... But I will definitely buy the flag, the patch and maybe one shirt or hoodie.
St. Jonny Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 I need a RevRad flag too. Even the flag is way too much for a tapestry. I think 15 bucks is more than enough!

Yeah same I think it looks cool ,but I am not trying to buy the same thing I own in an outdated useless music format for that money!

I actually have a cassette player and still use it to listen to old tapes occasionally (used to tape CDs/the radio up until the early 2000s since it was the only way to copy/share music if you didn't have a computer that could do it). Just don't need another one when I already have one and already have all the GD albums in formats I prefer. If it had a CD player built in as well I might be tempted but otherwise just looking cool wouldn't justify buying it. Can see why people who are into collecting music stuff would want it though, looks really awesome.

You're right it's too expensive. I don't know what size the flag is but I have one flag from my country that is similar to the RevRad one and it cost me less than 10... I will wait until the black friday to see if they do any discounts but I think past that weekend I will not wait any more haha
Sanity Loan Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 Looks like there's room for about two more cassettes in that box... hmm....

St. Jonny Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 As a collector and for some reason still a fan of cassettes, I am definitely getting this shit eventually. I remember buying the Nimrod tape back in '98 even though I already had it on CD, pretty sure I only had a tape deck at my dad's place back then, they were more rare then. Certainly going to have to wait til after Xmas with the price of it but hopefully if there are some left I'm definitely ordering one.

PursuitOfEpicness Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 cyber monday they should bring it down to at least 100 and something
BCap Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 Just now, XPursuitOfEpicnessX said: cyber monday they should bring it down to at least 100 and something Yeah, I was actually looking through my old emails from the webstore and I saw the Black Friday and Cyber Monday ones, looks like thirty percent off was the biggest discount. I pre-ordered it now so I wouldn't have to worry about it getting sold out, if the Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals are any good I may just cancel the order (if possible), re-order with the discount, and throw in the two shirts that I passed up because, even though shipping is a flat rate of $20 for orders $200 or more, I figured the shirts I could easily buy during a sale (possibly with free shipping if it's offered, or even with just the discount from BF/CM). In any case, in addition to the $20 shipping fee and the $250 for the set, I had to shell out $15 in sales tax. Definitely would love to pick up Insomniac and possibly Shenanigans (and maybe even 1039 and Kerplunk) on CD if they are doing a sale (although I think the latter two would be cheaper on Amazon or at Barnes and Noble - got Dookie there for five bucks several months ago, along with Rocket to Russia [also five bucks]). I actually just ran the numbers, if one were to buy two shirts and the cassette/boombox bundle on Black Friday, which would cost $300 regularly, then it would, with a thirty percent discount, come out to $210 total before taxes - less than the current price of the bundle (last year, you could get twenty, twenty-five, or thirty percent off depending on how much you spent, while Cyber Monday was reversed with no spending limits, and instead by what time during the day you bought - the earlier, the better).

Alan86 Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 I don't need it, I have all those albums on Cd x2, Download and Vinyl. But I really really want it
Minority103 Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 Considering that I spent more than 500,00 € and I have to spend a lot more for the tour, well I think I can't afford this by now, BUUUT look at that shit, it's so amazing! My collector side is crying right now
St. Jonny Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 Have my Insomniac tape on now. Could've just listened to the CD but with this coming out I felt like putting the cassette in. Anybody else get their Insomniac album in 1995? My copy is 21 years old now!! Still works perfect even tho it's scratched to shit, CDs used to be tough as nails.
belinda jane Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 i don't have any use or reason for it, but i want it

I bought mine much later than though, probably 2000ish. I've got another copy somewhere though, and mp3s on my harddrives.
The Grohl Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Man that's pretty sweet, but that's also like half of my rent. Pass.
RougeRogue Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 I...didn't know that people cared about collecting cassettes.

I'm an avid music collector, but on a very limited budget. I've always picked up cassettes at thrift stores because they're like 25 cents. But paying more than like 5 bucks is hard do for me. Otherwise, I don't listen to cassettes because they're awful and annoying. I would like the boombox solely for my collection, but that's wayyyy too high.

I don't I care about having this cool, exclusive thing from my favourite band. But in saying that, I'd be better off investing in a new combined CD/cassette player as the stereo I got for Christmas 19 years ago went kaput last year.
Zelda Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 I'm curious to see what the sound quality is going to be like. Not buying it though, it's cool but I have no desire to own cassettes.
