DeJennsitized Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 I feel like Bang Bang is the song they'd choose to perform while it's still above Still Breathing in the charts. Once SB overtakes it they might then switch to that for the performances. Though TBH I'd have rather liked it if they'd let the AMA performance be the last promo performance of Bang Bang since it was so explosive.

Billie Hoe Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 It's such a treat to watch Forever Now being performed I love this song so much. Although I am a bit concerned that they're not promoting Still Breathing enough. I know they probably think that playing songs like Bang Bang, Know Your Enemy and American Idiot is more appropriate at the moment and they're not in the mood for Still Breathing, they have a more important message to get across now. I bet their marketing is pretty exasperated with them now. We first read it in the interview where the interviewer was being told not to bring up the election and then Billie did anyway with the management glaring from the corners. Then their spontaneous AMA chant they didn't tell anyone about. And now this. This band must be so hard to handle. *shakes fist* Damn you and your political opinion, Billie Joe Armstrong! Damn you!

What a blazer I love his blazer, but I don't think it works with everything else he's wearing. That's a statement piece and if you're not going to go 100% neutral with it, you basically have to go all out and turn your whole outfit into a statement. He's fallen somewhere in the middle and it just doesn't quite look right. I'd steal his blazer in a heartbeat myself
Billie Hoe Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Thanks so much for streaming this @crock6000! I'm watching right now

I'd like to see how it'll work if it was worn with suitable pieces, maybe after you steal it
blueshadows Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Can anyone who got in through idiot nation say how was the priority when getting in/lining up was? As in, did people that got in through Idiot Nation get to go in earlier/closer to the stage or not? Just curious how good the fan club is for these events.

I think it's so funny that the writer included that little tidbit in his interview with Billie—obviously management was totally bullshitting about Billie not wanting to talk politics, so it's hilarious that he called them out on it. Those performances were great! Shitty lighting though, they were just like mysterious silhouettes for the most part. Also, Billie wearing that old leather jacket makes me question what year it is.

Idiot Nation members were in what was called the Houseguest line, and there was another (much longer) line for the great unwashed. The Houseguest line was let in first. And, that's one of the reasons why joining Idiot Nation is the best $20 a year you'll ever spend (if you live in L.A., anyway).

And tartans Billie should wear tartan and denim to distract me from stealing his blazer.

This isn't the first time Still Breathing was on the setlist and then got cut either! i really wish they'd start performing that song. It's got big potential :/ I really think they're too angry right now. Still Breathing is such a wonderful emotional song, I'm sure they will play it again when they feel like it and after they've rocked some of their anger away (which will probably never be the case with Trump being president-elect). With their angry mood right now, they could easily include Say Goodbye and Troubled Times in their setlist, this would be amazing! Great performances, thanks for the videos so far!

Thanks for the info! what is "great unwashed"? I am also already a member of Idiot Nation but I don't live in the US..however it was still very useful for the presales! If they do stuff like that on the east coast of the US I might totally drive a couple of hours to make the trip to see them! Glad to hear that Idiot Nation members are given the best spots!

Slash Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Still Breathing is a song which needs to be promoted more.

From what I hear, the people who got tickets through Idiot Nation were put in a separate line that was supposed to be let in first. They ended up letting in the first 50 people from the 1iota line first and then I think the house guests?
