Oh man, the backlash IS so annoying 🙄 I was reading some of the trending stuff on Twitter and there's people calling for Green Day to be arrested because they chanted about the presendent elect in a song called "bang bang" (duuuuh it's not about assassination ya moron), all kinds of other nonsense. People saying they should be ashamed for "causing more division and hate" like their candidate isn't the biggest example of it, people demanding tv networks ban Green Day from appearing on them....trying really hard not to get into twitter wars with a bunch of ignorant strangers tonite 😂

My favorite criticism of Green Day tonight comes from someone on Facebook:

"These guys look like freaks. Who cares what they have to say? They are just sore losers looking to call attention to themselves. Get over it...Trump is your President and you should give him a chance. Saying he's a racist is a complete utter lie. Just because you say it a million times doesn't make something true. It's not about what is or isn't cool. It's about the American people not wanting a fascist, racist, homophobic, etc. asshole as their president and not sitting by and just letting it happen. It took people a few months to accept Obama because he's African-American and, sadly, we still live in a racist country. There is a HUGE difference between people not accepting Obama at first, and not accepting Trump now.
