Platypus2000 Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Glad Devil's Kind wasn't on RevRad, it wouldn't have fit anywhere on the album, Billie was right. Wise decision.

greendepent Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Man, these songs are cool. Actually offers something compared with the letdown that is rev rad for me
That Dude Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 I'm making a copy of RevRad with Devi's Kind instead of Bouncing of the wal. Trading one song about riding with Satan for an even better one about being his kind. It all works out.

21guns&novacaine Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Was just searching for these last night! Also, does anyone know if it's up on iTunes yet? Or if it's of better quality?
AmyxLongview Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 They're okay, not as good as any of the songs on the album though
iScottie Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Apparently there is going to be a soundtrack. https://www.reddit.com/r/greenday/comments/576qs7/does_anyone_know_if_theres_going_to_be_a/
Hermione Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 I can see why they're not on the album, they're b-side level. But pretty cool songs with good lyrics and glad to hear them! I like the kind of rockabilly thing Devil's Kind has going on.
Stefano Bras Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 I don't see Devil's Kind fitting into RevRad but it would be a hell of a B-side 3 hours ago, Steven Seagull said: What RevRad song sounds "punkish" ? Bang Bang, Bouncing Off the Wall, Too Dumb to Die...

Devil's Kind is going to be a song everyone wants to hear and he won't play for the first time live until they are playing a Starbucks in LA one day. He's already played it live though so...?
Sarcasm Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 This couldn't come at a better time. Who cares about bsides when we got this sexy OST?`

Personally I'm from the every generation of Green Day and most of the people around here are from the AI era but people love Dookie and Nimrod and most of their albums around here and this falls into one of their best. I know it's just opinion but a few people's opinions surprise me because it seems to me that this is the consummate Green Day album of the last 15 years of them. That's a lot of time. Sorry you were let down but you are in a minority, but a vocal one.
Marki. Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Wow, Devil's Kind reminds me of FBHT a lot, and I love it. I hope they really do release it in the future.
iScottie Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 I took the lyrics word-for-word from the subtitles of my rental. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Devil’s Kind [VERSE 1] Puke stains and cigarettes The party is in my pocket I’m lookin’ for a drink And a couch to call my own Give me a bump and I will come And whisper dirty lies The rapture in your ear And we’ll both be terrified [PRE-CHORUS] Bloodshot eyes and you’re peppermint We could run like dogs from the devil Give me one last try for your love tonight I’ll be the king forever and you can be my sunshine [CHORUS] We are the devil’s kind We are the devil’s kind We are the devil’s kind And now I won’t back down I said I won’t back down I am the devil’s kind [VERSE 2] Take me into the water And pull me from the slaughter Because I’ve got the shakes And I’m so petrified [PRE-CHORUS] Bloodshot eyes and you’re peppermint We can run like dogs from the devil Give me one last try for your love tonight I’ll be the king forever and you can be my sunshine [CHORUS] We are the devil’s kind We are the devil’s kind We are the devil’s kind And now I won’t back down I said I won’t back down I am the devil’s kind [SOLO] [CHORUS] We are the devil’s kind We are the devil’s kind We are the devil’s kind And now I won’t back down I said I won’t back down I am the dev… kind ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Body Bag [VERSE 1] She knits me a plastic purple sweater I’m staring blankly to the sky All right She reads me like a scarlet letter She holds my heart and arms to die All right [CHORUS] Sometimes it ain’t so bad Like a soul lies on a slab This is my life in a body bag [VERSE 2] She’s got a diary of madness She has a man of mystery Oh, yeah She dumped me in a brand-new address With a brand-new sweater made for me Oh, yeah [CHORUS] Sometimes it ain’t so bad Like a soul lies on a slab This is my life in a body bag Oh, yeah
Maddie86 Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 I just watched the movie, I'll totally buy the soundtrack when it's out, I think my favorite song was fever blister
oop.yarrz Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 so in the interview on aol the director said they recorded the songs (vocals at least) on set instead of lip syncing them. so is ordinary world (the song) any different then the revrad version in sound or or lyrics? sorry but i havent seen the movie yet.

Well I haven't seen the movie yet either but on the trailer, the little bit he sings of Ordinary World sounds the same as it does on the album

PursuitOfEpicness Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 These songs are really cool but they remind how much better Green Day songs are than just Billie being solo
