Emailed again Tuesday, said they didn't have anything to update me on and haven't heard from them since. So I've got my skipping vinyl from their store and I don't know if they'll ever get back to me. Great.
Ric503 Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 I only have a vinyl brush and I tried cleaning and it helped, after that it only skipped a little bit in Somewhere Now but that's because I just gave it a little clean because I wanted to ear the vinyl.

Epitaph had this happen to them when they repressed a bunch of nofx and bouncing souls records about 4-5 years ago.. Alot of people were complaining about skipping, but the reality is that if there not a physical scratch, its just a overly statically charged record from the pressing plant. Sometimes you get low charged records, sometimes you get a ridiculously charged record. I guess it depends on the plant and the general process. The charge believe it or not makes your stylus "stick" as it plays across the groove of the album and can cause it to stickto a given spot and jump...hence causing it to skip. In the case of Epitaph and RevRad, they're just highly charged (again aside from the physical damage if there is any on yours). Everyone should check out Gruv Glide. As a record collector, I've been using Gruv Glide for years to destatic and cleanmy records ...this was no different. I played it once, Somewhere Now skipped. Right away I knew it needed to be "Gruv Glided" ...applied it, no skips at all. Buy it at Guitar Center or Amazon and see if it helps you guys...it may just solve your skipping problems My FYE green copy didn't skip at all FYI. It could use it, but I didn't apply anything to that version. The Red version definitely needed it.

SuperXCsabre495 Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 Got my replacement, tried it on my Mom's record player since her's has a counterbalance so I could adjust how much weight is on the record itself. Even with the adjustments Somewhere Now skipped as soon as the drums kicked in at the beginning and Bang Bang (for the first time for me) skipped all over. I'm not sure what to do now other than just deal with what I've got and enjoy the other 10 songs since they have no issues.

Only - I didn't want my money back, I wanted REPLACEMENT. Because I wanted the fucking vinyl. Now I wanted to order it again and it's sold out. Fuck you. I'm SO mad.

I wrote back something along the lines of "Great but I didn't want a refund but a replacement, now I can't get one, thanks for ruining my day" I just hope that it will be on sale sometime soon again but since it said "limited" from the beginning, I doubt it This whole thing is so ridiculous. I checked amazon and people are already selling the used red vinyl for a 100 bucks.

Second favourite son Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 @luketrebilliemike I got the exact same email. I wonder how 'further stock' works for a limited edition line? TBH it's taken an insanely long time, and while it's great that progress has been made it's also really annoying that a) it's been so slow, b) it's even necessary in the first place and c) it seems that replacements also have the same problem. It also puts collectors who don't listen to their vinyls in a really awkward position, since they have a limited edition, unopened vinyl that may or may not work, which could really affect their ability to sell it in future.
