  1. a bit ago i got my first green day cds: saviors, american idiot, 1039/sosh, nimrod, and dookie around june this year i thought of listening to all of them in full for once! i know streaming exists, but i like to listen to new albums on physical if i can. maybe tease with a few on streaming of course, just not the full thing since i have time, i'll finally be able to listen to them all especially without extra distractions around me with all the probably 100 apps on my computer compared to just a booklet, cover art, and back cover. and that also means i'll finally be able to listen to welcome to paradise without my friend bugging me all the time. unfortunately saviors will have to wait i only have so much time and stamina to just stare at billie's handwriting...

  2. Hi GreenDay my name is Abbie. I’m 16, loud, messy, and burning with punk. My first Green Day concert lit a spark, the musical fanned it, and I even wrote a song inspired by “She’s A Rebel.” I’m the daughter of rage and love—my parents are messed up, they divorced when I was 4, my life’s messy, and I don’t bend to anyone.

  3. Hey, welcome! Just fyi, we don’t think the band members visit the forum but know that Bill Schneider does from time to time. Enjoy. 😁

  4. I've compiled a bunch of clips to produce a "better" quality complete concert, also tried to combine clips for better audio so enjoy!! Manually made subtitles are available!

  9. Fans have called it 'life changing' and 'the best tour yet.' It wouldn't have been what it was without the fans, so of course, we have to commemorate it with a GDA article featuring those fans! If you'd like to be featured in the article, go ahead and share your feelings, stories, tattoos, fanart, or anything else you think is relevant, in this thread. Please include your country and the name or alias you'd like to use. If you feel comfortable sharing your age, please include that too. You're also welcome to share anything in this thread even if you don't want to be featured in the article, but please state that so I know not to include you. If you don't want to post in the thread, you can PM me or contact GDA on Instagram or Tumblr. You can also contact me personally if you have me on social media or WhatsApp. ---------------------------------------- The deadline to be featured in the GDA article is 20 October 2025. Of course, you can still share whatever you want in this thread after the deadline, but it won't be included in the article. ---------------------------------------- Rules There aren't any! It doesn't matter how young or old you are, how many shows you went to, or even if you couldn't make it to a show. You're still welcome to share your experience of following the tour online or wishing you could go. ---------------------------------------- If you're not sure where to start... Some questions you could answer: Had you seen Green Day before? How did this tour compare? Did the Saviors Tour inspire you to do anything? What was your favourite moment or photo? Did you get onstage or meet the band? How was it? How many shows did you go to? If you couldn't make it to a show, did you follow the tour online? Did you watch any livestreams? Which song meant the most to you when you heard it or watched a video of it? Have you made any fanart relating to the Saviors Tour or era? Did you get any Green Day tattoos during or after the tour? You don't have to use these questions. They're just examples in case anyone isn't sure where to start. The American Idiot article might also give you some ideas. Can't wait to read all your stories!

  13. I love these box sets, in particular for live tracks from previous live shows, I just can't help it, I'm so crazy about GD live there's nothing like it. I'm all for streaming music but live stuff is generally only available on record. Just listened to Blood, Sex and Booze (Live at Makuhari Messe, Tokyo, from March 2001). Released today. Holy shit that was awesome. Amazing quality. Like to close my eyes and pretend I'm there with all the fans. Can't wait for the box set to be released to hear rest of show. Thanks GD ❤️

  17. From one of the lead actors in the film. Sounds like Billie (and Jakob!) co-wrote 4 or 5 original songs for the fictional band in the film to perform. Just like with Ordinary World, I was hoping they would write new music for the film too. This is great: https://www.instagram.com/stories/masonthamesofficial/3639189694185552542?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&igsh=MTkyZWFhZ216Znlq

  19. Movie is wrapped https://www.instagram.com/p/DHyoOydJBGm/?igsh=bnllb2x6MHVyYThj So now post production followed by however they manage to distribute it. Hopefully we’ll get release information by the end of the year. I was thinking about road stories they could use. Because we know this is based on the band’s own exploits touring during the early years, what are some of the road stories we know about that could potentially make it into the film? — The most well know story of course is Sleepy the disembodied head in a jar they had to sleep near. — That time their van got broken into in New Orleans and their clothes and road cash was all stolen. Fans donated clothes and cash for them to get to the next town. — The IG gdtourvan1990 has loads of stories, pretty sure that account was run by Kiffmeyer https://www.instagram.com/gdtourvan1990?igsh=MTY0b2ZnN2U0cTBtOA== Anyone know any others?

  21. So jealous of everyone who got to be an extra! What a cool experience! That being said, I have no idea why I can't get excited for this movie. I saw so much news about it on Insta and I just didn't care Maybe when we get closer to its release I'll care, maybe I'm just thinking about Ordinary World and how mid that was. Maybe I just want them to come back to Chicago. To a small venue. Called my house. Green Day come play my house I have a cute dog. Please and thank you.

  22. When Billie played that bit of Corvette Summer there was a collective gasp and that little shit knew exactly what he'd done when it didn't continue 😂 I have to admit I didn't recognise Pollyanna. I don't think I've even listened to it in full. #FakeFan 😤 I could tell I was in the company of fellow ADHDers because Billie kept playing random chords and Tre tapped away at his drums whenever there was a lull 😂 Now I've had some sleep I can't believe that was all an actual thing I experienced. Green Day were probably onstage for a maximum of 3 of the 12 hours we were all there - there was a lot of waiting around and we had to leave to eat then go back in - but it was a unique and unforgettable experience for sure. The local fans were so nice 🥰 The lady next to me had never seen Green Day and said she was a reasonably casual fan, but after the first song she was like, 'this is the best day ever!' Pretty sure it's OK to comment on random impromptu bits of songs because they didn't have anything to do with the film... it says we can't post 'material in connection with the Picture,' not the event itself.

  23. I cannot imagine acting all hyped up while listening the KYE for the third time in a row But I'm guessing the vibe there, in a small venue and with the band playing live might have kept people hyped throughout the 5 takes. My first thought after knowing they were using KYE for the movie was that maybe they are doing the "bringing someone on stage" bit for the movie, but since it's not mentioned in the setlist I guess maybe not (or maybe that is the one secret people who were there decided to keep). Very nice that they played a small set and a few snippets for the benefit of the fans there. Hope Tre didn't get too sweaty in the process

  24. I think I’ve had nightmares where I’m at a Green Day show and all they play is KYE over and over 😜

  25. I saw that setlist and was laughing, because, what's one of the number one songs people say they never want to see live again? So they play it a dozen times. 😄 Of course, I'm guessing it's relevant to the movie, like the kids "knowing their enemy."

  27. If setlist fm is right they finally pulled Pasalcuqa out after 3 years They also teased Polyanna after nearly 4 years and teased Corvette Summer for the first time since before this current tour

  28. That was fun. I think I'm allowed to say that Green Day played 4-5 songs for the fans in between takes. The filming was cool but those songs were the best bits. Billie threw lots of guitar picks with questions like: 'What's my favourite colour?' 'What number is on my mind right now?' 'What is my dog's name?' 'Who has the most spikes in their hair?' He didn't actually wait for anyone to answer. He just threw them at the first people he saw 😂 He also announced 'oof, my back' twice. Mike kept telling us we were killing it. The first time they played a song just for fun, Tre refused to play more when Billie asked because he didn't want to get sweaty. The barrier was mostly filled with hired actors but some fans got onto it in the centre and I got onto it past Mike, towards the end with some of the lovely ladies I met in the queue. There's such a small gap between the barrier and stage at the Palladium that I felt almost as close as I did when I was technically closer at stadiums. I can't believe I was still jumping at the end considering the jet lagged state I'm in 😂 If I remember more that I can share I will, but I need to sleep now.

  31. It shot up several notches whenI heard the Irving Plaza live version. Sounds great live and I think they play it a little faster which helps.
