  1. Oh my goodness, I bloody love this song! 🤟It's kick arse and I adore the stop start guitars and the drums (as you can tell, I'm really technical!)😆 I think the stop start and drums make it sound quite menacing, yet at the same time fun! My favourite line is "get on your knees when you are kissing my ring". It always just makes me smirk and laugh because I'm so juvenile!😜🤣

  11. My guess is they’ll continue to release promotional singles that are commissioned deals for sports or movies or whatever

  17. The floof is off the charts! His hair at this event reminded me of "smexy lion club" (for appreciating Billie's lion's mane-like fluffy hair) back in the day on GDC Adorable: https://www.gettyimages.co.uk/detail/news-photo/billie-joe-armstrong-speaks-onstage-during-the-35th-glaad-news-photo/2085541185?adppopup=true

  19. I have family members who are really into genealogy as a hobby, so I find it quite endearing that he’s so into it and is willing to share it. I remember him saying in one of the podcasts he did that he’s interested in it because it’s a way for him to learn more about his dad, and that’s really sweet. In all seriousness, he should go on one of those shows that helps celebrities track down their family history. Those shows are really cool, and he clearly has a passion for it.

  20. It's hard to tell whether Insomniac or Nimrod is the better seller. They've both been neck and neck for decades and we don't have a recent sales update for either album. Nimrod is the better performing album overall in terms of streaming and digital, mostly because of the success of Good Riddance though, so really Nimrod is the more successful album imo I think the top 5 most successful Green Day albums are probably - American Idiot - Dookie - Nimrod - 21st Century Breakdown - Insomniac AI and Dookie could be swapped around, as could 21CB and Insomniac but I'm pretty sure those are the 5 most successful albums, based on album sales, streaming, singles etc.

  21. The other big change is the way concerts are. They used to be a mix of big hits, new songs and fan favorites but now it's all anniversary tours. I just saw that Weezer are doing a big 30th of the Blue Album. Which is kind of cool, but to me it's just another way we'll never get to hear something really special or unique at a rock show. The blue album is kind of like Dookie. Weezer has played most of those songs at every single shows for 30 years. They'll probably play a few other big hits. But definitely won't be able to cover all 15 albums and 4 EPs. lol. The difference is that Weezer seem have halted putting out a new album in order to do this tour, which is better than Green Day trying to cram three things into one tour.

  25. I think the theory behind them making another FOAMF type album is that Green Day projects alternate between that experimental/power pop/garage rock sound (Foxboro, trilogy, FOAMF) and the more American Idiot-esque sound. Although I don't really consider FOAMF to be all that comparable to the trilogy. I can see them continuing to make garage type stuff but if they do, I think it will be more like the trilogy or Longshot than FOAMF

  26. For UK people, it's currently being used as the music on C4's "New reality on Channel 4" promo campaign. Can't find it online but I've seen it A LOT on air. 30" and 60" promos, so lots of GD.

  27. I'm thinking the line "we all die young some day" is like everybody, no matter who they are, rich or poor, famous or not, grows up with hopes and dreams but as we get older realise that some of those hopes and dreams will never come to fruition and a little bit of us dies with each or any of them over time Would be interesting to hear other people's thoughts on that

  28. Gotta say I absolutely love the video of this! It's so weird, basically just still images of the Billie doodle (is it actually one of the ones he did himself or just based on it?) plus recently public domain old Mickey Mouse. But somehow it's entertaining and perfect.

  29. My bf doesn't seem to like this song: "This is such a lazy excuse for a chorus. Don't you think?" Me: "BADA BING! BADA BING! BADA BOOOOOM!"

  32. I've loved this song from the first minute I heard it bada bing badabing! Great lyrics, great vocals, GD humour, can't wait to share it live with 29, 999 others, it rips and it'll be great live. Another punk banger. I avoided the leaks and I'm so glad. Can't sit still to this, keep air drumming with Mr Cool who again is on fire here.
