  1. The acoustic encores are the best part of their shows

  2. Nirvana did an Unplugged album and sounded perfect Green Day could easily do one and have the same result

  4. Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes. For some reason I feel like this is an unpopular opinion, if so I wish it wasn't. There's just so much more intimacy when it's just Billie and the crowd at the end there.

  5. I would hate to see them do an acoustic album. Green Day is know for big, powerful guitars. Can you imagine how crap it would be if they turned the guitar tone down for no apparent reason? Oh, wait......

  8. I agree, but that was the point I was kind of getting at. Lots of good candidates on AI and 21CB, but sooooo many possible trilogy tracks. I get the sense that most here would prefer not to hear much more of those songs. True, a lot of GD songs begin that way. But when I think acoustic, I think a fuller sound with open chords. And Nirvana's Unplugged album worked REALLY well.

  9. To be fair, they've done loads of stuff since Bridge School that would work really well. Insomniac songs acoustic were never going to work well, but the more complex arrangements that American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown would allow would be fantastic.

  11. Yep. I loved it on the Breakdown tour when Billie would stand at the end of the walkway under the spotlight and do WMUWSE, When It's Time and Good Riddance, with the odd lines of other songs thrown in. Gotta agree with this. Can you imagine Jesus Of Suburbia in the style of Foo Fighters' Skin & Bones?

  12. Yes! I've mentioned it before, but I really want an acoustic album from Billie. All the songs he's done acoustically would be amazing!

  13. I guess they could, it's just not really my thing though. I'd still listen to it, to see what it's like - I could be surprised!

  14. I dunno if this counts as 'unpopular', but...the guys should really make an album featuring acoustic versions of their earlier songs. Honestly I'd pay anything to hear a studio version of acoustic One for the Razorbacks. http://youtu.be/GEkGnvhnbUc Also, Tre should sing more. But preferably less about sex.

  20. Here is where Green Day were mentioned in Top Gear Australia Magazine. Also on the Australia game show, Million Dollar minute there was a Green day question the other week. Billie Joe Armstrong is the lead singer of which rock band? It was multiple choice (no idea what the other options were as I wasn't watching I just heard Billie's name and it directed my attention) but the person got it right straight away without really thinking.
