Very random but I’m so glad to see this forum is still somehow active. I’m surprise forums on the internet still exist at all 😂 I remember being here when I was in highschool, in like, 2014? I think, and using so much google translate. I can’t for the life of me remember what username I had or what email address I used, but I distinctively remember the fangirl thread lol, I was surprised that was still active as well 😂 A lot of life has happened in 10 years, I finished highschool, a masters, had 3 jobs, changed countries, came back, left again, but this summer was very hard for me, with a lot of changes, and like any other time when life was hard, I turned to Green Day for comfort. Needless to say the old Green Day obsession came back and hit full force, more than usual, because I don’t think it ever left, it just got a little quieter 😂 And I said, why the hell not, let’s make an account here and interact with the fandom for a bit, until it quiets again. Glad to see so many people still around, some usernames I even recognize haha.6 points

This must be devastating for Brazilian fans who can't afford to see them elsewhere. Really shitty of the organisers. Also, I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I'm really not impressed with the way Green Day's social media people handle cancellations outside of the US. An Instagram story? You can't even make a permanent post like you did for Hershey? I'm not saying Green Day themselves need to comment (although it would be nice and wouldn't take much effort), but the management are literally paid to make social media posts. It wouldn't be difficult to try a bit harder. Switch the comments off if you're worried about angry fans. Sadly it's obvious that they think it doesn't matter as much as a high-profile show like the Hershey one.4 points

I cannot believe this had to be cancelled at this stage for a football game! Surely they are planned months in advance and if it had to be changed then it should not have been at the expense of a long planned concert which lots of people will have spent lots of money on. Shame! I am so sorry for everyone who was going.4 points

Yes, on Monday at the latest we‘ll have new video footage of the actual state of his hair!😂 Meet me at the Fangirls thread….3 points

It gets really quiet sometimes, of course it does, but it’s good to be able to see others are suffering through the drought too and we can commiserate with each other and if nothing else, go back to talking about Billie Joe’s hair 😂😂3 points

I never saw that particular floor hump before KFAD rules, I hope they bring it back next tour2 points

I think they kinda like the 3-5 year album cycles. And to be honest, I definitely prefer a well crafted album (produced by Rob and mixed by CLA) with 13-15 songs than a rushed album with 10 songs.2 points

When I first read this new from one of the fan accounts on Instagram I literally thought they had just fallen for a rumor/fake news in really bad taste. From the announcement it says that the draw to select the location for the football match was held last week. But still it makes zero sense to me that an event that has been planned for many months, for which thousands of tickets has already been sold, has to be cancelled because you did a last minute draw to decide the place of match for next month. For fuck's sake, move the date of your match by a couple of days, move the location, don't do a random draw where one of the options is a place that is already taken... I don't know, it feels like a problem that could have been at best avoided, and at worst at least solved. I'm sorry for anyone who had tickets. I know I would be super pissed (I mean, I'm pissed anyhow 😅).2 points

Well i still think it was fun, but no one was talking like last week, and I was like "what do I do with my life now," lol. I haven't been here long enough to know what it was like before 2022 thank you for reminding me there was new summerweenie punk bunny coffee merch out today lol. I was just thinking "speaking of..."1 point

It used to be so much fun here. Even Saviors didn't "save" this website, pun intended. I don't think the mods and admins have a lot of work since like 2023.1 point

in Three days Green Day is back. besides, now would be the perfect time to start announcing shit for the holiday season (New Years Rev soundtrack LP/CD, Boxset, Live Album, Coffee exclusive seven inches)1 point

GDC last week was definitely boring, right @Mollyluna . Should be getting better since they have been nominated for the VMA's, Garbage Pail Kids cards came out, shows coming up, etc1 point

They have a show in three days. They were touring and doing other stuff pretty much nonstop until the short break though. They deserved a rest1 point

It took me a while to do it. But I think looks quite nice. I need to learn more. Thanks to Jen, Meike and Markel for giving me videos to experiment.1 point

When I saw this thread last night, I was like "they're already speculating album 15?!" omg really? Good times, that was when we were all kind of detectives and piecing together Saviors and 1972 lol. Fun fact, tho my profile says I joined in January 2024, I actually was on here way before then as a guest, just too shy and scared to comment lol. Now look at me, I can't shut my mouth lol. all jokes aside, it is still kinda too early to discuss album 15 for me. The boys have said we won't hear new things for a hot minute, and I am still celebrating the release of Saviors1 point

Been scanning and editing since April again. Just added: Musician (1994/09) Crossbeat (1996/01) Rockin' On (1996/04) Crossbeat (2001/05) Crossbeat (2004/06) Crossbeat (2004/08) <- Apparently they really considered "When It's Time" to be included on the album, not just Billie playing it once on the guitar and dropping the idea completely, so there might be a properly recorded 2004 version of it as well. No wonder it found its place in the musical. Tower (2004/09) Crossbeat File Vol.3 (2004/10) Crossbeat (2004/10) Japan Tour Flyer (2005) InRock (2005/04) Crossbeat (2005/05) Q Magazine (2005/05) Guitar Breakers (2005/06) "Punk's Not Dead" Documentary, Japanese Flyer Green Day Style (2010) Crossbeat (2011/05) Berlin Concert Flyer (2012) Japan Tour Flyer (2020) Rockin' On (2020/04) Rockin' On (2024/11) Here's a list of the file names: Link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Hk68uJ_YwpQBby3nlLWhRAWU6_8vdAkE?usp=drive_link1 point
