I'm so excited - I just took the plunge and bought a Sunday ticket for Riot Fest! Flights are now booked, so I'll be coming over from Ireland for this one I was supposed to see GD in Vienna back in June, but I was unwell at the time so unfortunately had to cancel my trip so I'm delighted that I'm going to make up for it in Chicago (first time in the Windy City, and first time seeing GD in the USA).

Really feel for him and all US people at the moment.

As you guys know they filmed Wembley last year with a lot of effort. Would be a waste of money not to release that footage.

My main issue is that they are pitch correcting BJ to hell. He doesn't sing like that at all. I get this stuff is heavily edited and "fixed", but the little sake of authenticity that is left in the live recording of shows, I beg they treat thr vocals differently

It would be really fun if they did a double-live LP with AI, Dookie and some Saviors/deeper cuts. Milk that cash cow lol

I am a fan and I do want / need a video release of the Dookie / AI epic shows of last year. In my fantasy this video is glued together from performances in different shows for each song, rather than a single show. But I'll take a single show too, I don't care. I feel like we got so spoiled with the tour last year that we lost sight of how special it is to get either of those albums (let alone both!) being played front to back in a single show for the masses - not just 1 or 2 small shows where only a few people can go. It was unthinkable before they announced it. And now I want a video of it to remember it forever. I'd also love Saviors in full live.

I do know of people who bought Welcome to Paradise VIPs for every show just to film, but I wasn't affected by that with Calling All Saviors tickets. Good vibes all around and I knew most of the people behind me in the queues as the same dedicated fans I've been seeing for years. Some of them had also bought WTP tickets for one or two shows. I still don't agree with VIP tickets but I don't think it's a guaranteed crowd killer.

Craziest story from my 7/11. I went back to get the straw and speaker, but I had to go to this really sketchy one to get it because the nicer one didn't have any. Anyway, I got the straw, and this homeless guy was following me around the store. So I left, and he ran out with stolen merchandise, and the owner had to run after him. I found the slurpee today! I was glad they had the cup in stock but I didn't want that much of the slurpee so I filled up a small cup and put it in the big cup lol. Personally I didn't care for the flavor that much, it didn't taste like grape to me, it kinda tasted like smarties candies (the American version) with a hint of pineapple. Just seems like cope on Blink's part framing Green Day showing them up as being a worse live band as "rivalry" lol. I don't think there is one, GD just got better reviews on a tour and acknowledged it and that was it.

Why does everybody think Tom has issues with Green Day? Angels & Airwaves opened up for Green Day on their 2012 European tour. Tom didn't have any issue playing before them then.

I mean, what a better deal than seeing Bad Religion playing Suffer and end up the week seeing Green Day playing whatever they want to play Besides, it would be an amazing gift for my gf that is finishing her studies. But is that or waiting for the southamerican dates... Let's see what happens

This has been a long time coming. Can't believe they're headlining for the first time. AND blink? Do I smell Pop Disaster 2 coming?

Last night I dreamed that The Coverups played 8th Avenue Serenade but I was so stunned that I just stood there. Everyone thought I'd never actually listened to it and I was just lying about it being my favourite Green Day song to sound cool. Later they covered This Love by Taylor Swift, but the show ended early because my reaction to 8th Avenue Serenade somehow prompted the apocalypse. Don't remember exactly what the apocalypse entailed except fans trying to meet Green Day when whatever was happening took out their bodyguards (most realistic part of the dream).

I had some weird fucking dream last night that Green Day had turned themselves into small singing hamsters. I brought them into my house because a hawk was trying to eat them.

Had a funny dream last night involving Mike Dirnt I was traveling in a bus on a highway through a landscape that looked a bit like the background of the BOBD video, and then some people in the bus notice that there's a guy in a nice motorcycle riding next to the bus being recorded by a camera crew in a truck in front of them, and I and some other people in the bus recognize he's Mike, and some of the people who recognized him were these girls who went full fangirl mode and started screaming at him. So he eventually steps onto the bus (??? there was no action sequence here, he was in his motorbike and the next second he's just walking into the bus cool as a cucumber ). So first he gets surrounded by the teens who are just asking for autographs and pictures and so on, and then he comes to me and I have my teen moment too, which dies down after a minute, but he's still there, the teens and the rest of the people who recognized him are gone somehow, and I'm trying to keep my cool and my mind is frantically searching for something to say or to ask that won't sound too fangirl or too stalker, and after a couple attempts we finally strike up a nice conversation it was a very normal conversation, like I forgot who I was talking to, but I cannot remember what it was about. I just know that after a while he had to leave again, and then I was like "damn! I forgot to ask him if we could take a picture" and then I woke up.

Had a dream that I was watching a current GD show and was very happy bc Billie had dyed his hair black again. But then it switched to him on Celebrity Jeopardy and he had his hair in a blond ponytail. 🫤

Last night I dreamed that I got the Saviors vinyl but every track was on a separate disc and before I could play them I had to knead them like plasticine or a dough and then bring them in the shape of a disk again 😅
