Live albums are for fans, and fans don't want other versión of american idiot, basket case, BOBD or know your enemy....we want rare played songs, old recycled songs. Hope GD think about us in their Next live album.4 points

I always love it when I see Cone McCaslin from Sum 41 comment on the guys posts. Here he's commented 🔥 on Billie's post from the Ottawa show the other night. We met him in the airport in DC back in 2010 on our way to see GD in Phoenix and he told us he'd been at the Toronto show and how good it was. Here's Billie's post where you can see Cone comment. I see Deryck Whibley commenting sometimes too https://www.instagram.com/p/DMToyvByBIh/?igsh=MXFubWxib2IxYjM5dQ==3 points

It's been far too long since we got a proper live album. I would love a new live CD/FILM combo!3 points

Here's the link. Idk about the other covers, but I Fought The Law is on Spotify. Here's an example of covers on YouTube3 points

I think, after this gigant world tour, the band Will release a live album. Hope It will have many Deep cuts as I was there, scattered or 80 on It.2 points
-
YES! i would love a live album. I agree that there has to be some deep cuts for me to actually listen to the whole thing hehe.2 points

Green Day's infamous stolen record is the focus of Alan Cross' podcast this week: There's nothing ground breaking. Just a fun recap of Cigarettes and Valentine's, though he I'm pretty sure he gets some things wrong like saying Sum 41 and Good Charlotte were on Pop Disaster (that's not true right?) and that Green Day is The Network. Can't believe he fell for that 🙄😏2 points

Really? I use Apple Music in the USA and those covers have been available to me since 2009 at least since I’ve listened to a ton of A Quick One over the years 😮2 points
-
I don’t care, I want that live album! AND a live video, just like Awesome as Fuck! A documentary would be nice but I don’t believe in it. They don’t seem to be into making documentaries. At least the one in the American Idiot anniversary box wasn’t really convincing…2 points

NGL i feel like with the dookie non singles that arent Burnout + Extraordinary Girl, we'll have a decent stack of deepcuts although, if 80, I Was There, Jaded, Look Ma, Murder City and Holden Caulfield also make the live album....that would sweeten the pot for me1 point
-
I never even thought it could be those jokesters blink 182! I think you're on to something! I can't believe we're still talking about this. The Network and Green Day HATE each other. And are CLEARLY distinct bands. Nothing alike. End of story.1 point
-
my focus has shifted away from the network breaking into Studio 880 and stealing the album and more towards Blink breaking in and doing usual pre untitled blink activities to the masters that or Reprise took it in exchange for GD being allowed to fund American Idiot1 point

i am curious why greenday never attempted to play the big football stadiums in germany ... like, never1 point

Honestly, I'd rather they didn't. With the amount of output over the last couple of years, we're in danger of getting into release spam territory. Maybe I'm just long in the tooth but I'm from the "keep fans wanting more" school of thought. A live album of the Saviors tour wouldn't be anything special IMO especially given its mainly Dookie and AI - from both of which we've had LOADS of live stuff over the years. I'd much rather the pro-shot stuff was used as part of a catch-all Saviours documentary or something.1 point

Oh. Sorry, I didn't know. In the US, I Fought The Law is on Spotify, along with other covers on YouTube.1 point
-
iirc I Fought the Law is region locked on spotify and the others iirc are restricted to Apple Music (and obviously youtube uploads)1 point
-
It is a crime that they are not on Spotify. I think I Fought The Law is now on Spotify, but idk about the other covers. YouTube will have to do for now :/.1 point
-
ill never understand why I Want To Be On TV gets to be widely accessible yet Don't Want To Know If You Are Lonely, State of Mind, Quick One and I Fought The Law arent1 point

Funny that Billie screamed "Put Your hands Up, QUEEEBEC" while in Ottawa but I always love when he said my city name so idc1 point

I did find a short clip. I hope someone will eventually post the whole video.1 point

Does anyone have any info on or photos of the Dead Mermaids merch and EP package that was released when the band first became a thing? My mum thinks it included a fishing net?1 point
-
Your welcome. I've always felt that GD excell at covers, and they have done so many. For me 'The Kids Are Alright" are in my top 3, along with "Another State of Mind" and "I Fought The Law". Heaven.1 point

I have completely forgotten this cover existed! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for reminding me1 point

As well as being blown away listening to GD albums and the euphoria of attending live shows, there's those awesome sessions, GD live in the studio. So many to choose from. My two favs are AOL sessions in New York 2004, visual jaw dropping performance of songs from AI, plus an amazing cover of The Who's "The Kids Are Alright." Not forgetting "Longview" an extended version of "Minority" and band interview at end. Electric. But Imho, the BBC sessions, Maida Studios London, released 2021, including songs from 1994 to 2001 is outstanding. 16 songs on record, plus two not included for some reason, One of My Lies ( my all time fav GD song), and Scattered. The booklet, that came with the record, described in such intimate detail, the recording session. You could almost feel you where there. What an awesome collection.1 point

Lithium is my FAV SiriusXM channel ever, haha. I practically live on that channel. They played Nice Guys Finish Last just a few weeks ago, and I was, of course, excited . They also played the Kerplunk version of Welcome to Paradise!1 point
-
I was in the car yesterday listening to Lithium on Sirius and they played a little radio bump from Billie! He was talking about they wanted to broaden their sound on Nimrod and then they played Redundant. I was so excited! I squealed HI BILLIE 😆 my bf asked where Mike "Durst" was 😮💨1 point

Kill the DJ is extremely far for being in my usual Green Day favorite songs, but damn, I love it when it comes up while I'm running. I think it might be my favorite song to run to 😅1 point

Oakland Roots putting out a bobble head Billie, sadly doesn’t look much like him to me https://www.instagram.com/stories/billiejoearmstrong/3676832936311198170?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&igsh=MWl4NXg3bXo4bHI0dg==1 point

Green Day have had 11 days off from touring. Where is album 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20???????????????????? Haha Actually, I do need a break from listening to them for a bit. Been detouring with Weezer, Good Charlotte, Durry, Viagra Boys, Ozzy, Foo Fighters, After Midnight Project and about 20,000 other artists.1 point

That’s a random Longshot thought 😉 Here’s another: Will we ever get another Longshot album and tour? That was the most fun ever1 point

I have a lovely Polish gentleman painting the outside of my house. He came in to the kitchen, saw my Saviors listening party poster and said, “Green Day, great band, one of my favourites”. We talk music every day and he showed me some pics from a friend of his taken in 1991 when green Day first went to Poland.1 point

Just come back from the village store. There's a kid's basketball court nearby and they were shouting " Longshot, Longshot, Longshot!" You know what it made me think of1 point
