You know I'm going to say it. It was amazing. It was surreal seeing them in front of me and not in front of a screen. I still have not realized this. They played every song I wanted to hear live after all these years not that whatever they played I wouldn't sing along and be jumping around. The summer here is very warm, we're talking about 40 degrees and we were there in the hot concrete since 3pm with the sun burning on our backs. But at the end of the day I was in the very front and could see our boys clearly so it was all worth it. I really had the time of my life.

Looks like they have enjoyed the tour. 🩷 I loved the deep cuts they kept changing from show to show. I miss going to concerts already but with all the touring they've done I get that they need a break. Whenever they're ready to come back so are we. 🤗

So glad you got to see them, they really are so amazing live. I feel them slipping away from us in Europe, am sure they will be glad to go home but they feel so far away.

It seems that we will indeed have a new live album. Last year, we had already speculated about this due to an Instagram post by one of the camera operators at the Wembley concert, who said that 22 people filmed the concert and that he was anxious to see the final result. Now I found this video posted this year, which I don't know if anyone in the community has seen. The sound might be good, but not the crowd consisting of casino players. If you have a look at the Wembley 2024 thread you will find a link posted today that shows that Wembley was recorded professionally. So this might get to be the live album…

It was nothing! I was there and it was so special to me that I'm really excited to have it professionally recorded. I hope they release it because they're still in great shape so now is the time to release a live album, especially since this was the biggest Green Day concert ever.

Excuse me 👵🏻 Green Day have been around for years so their fans' age is definitely all over the place. That's one of the things I love about them. We all got into them at a different age and for different albums. Getting older doesn't mean that you stop enjoying music and going to live shows. 💕

Can't believe the Good Riddance thing has had this much attention. I posted my video thinking it was harmlessly funny, but I kind of wish I hadn't now because yes, it's been blown out of proportion. The kid is 14. It was very obvious he was nervous and there was possibly a language barrier. Even if it was intentional trolling, it was funny and didn't come across as anything more. Billie wasn't angry and I think most fans were glad it meant they got to hear Billie playing it 😂 It was also funny when someone held up a sign in Amsterdam and Billie read it, then said 'I'M playing Good Riddance.' Didn't we all do stupid shit at 14?

It's one of the phone messages that's already been linked here but I remember it, it wasn't to the record label it was a message to update the fans on their progress with the next album. He was saying how they had a bunch of songs but that they weren't going to put out anything they weren't happy with. Then the messages stopped for a while and next thing they talked about was American Idiot. It's cool to listen in order you definitely hear that transition period from Warning to C&V to AI.

I used to come onto this forum religiously around the release of 21st Century Breakdown. I stayed till around the Trilogy era ending and god, I miss this community! Mind you, I forgot my old log-in!

the kid got interviewed today at one of the bigger german radio stations he said he knew that he was not able to play good riddance because he didnt know all of the songs guitar chords, so he stopped his attempt to play good riddance because he didnt want to embarrass himself. he then wanted to play a song that everyone knows and "loves", so he started wonderwall 🫢

Looking for a specific audio of Beej. Saw it on reddit a while back. A VM that Billie had presumably left on the answering machine of someone at the record label. From around 2003 (C&Vs era). He didn't mention album names or anything. But that he had about 12 songs and some of them were good and some of the material wasn't up to snuff. I guess its rare. But its a fascinating relic. Could prove the theory that the whole story of the album being stolen was a crock lol. Anyone know the audio's whereabouts? 🙂

I saw the theory on Reddit that the guy couldn't play Good Riddance so tried to play Boulevard, inadvertently playing Wonderwall instead since the two are so similar. I hope this isn't true. I prefer the idea of this kid trolling one of the biggest bands in the world at their own show with the greatest "so anyway, here's Wonderwall" ever. BJA laughed. Everyone has fun. The kid becomes an internet hero for 15 minutes. Who cares?

…when the simple act of buying tea can turn out to be quite funny. This morning I went to my favorite tea shop (that has a very charming owner) to buy the usual Sencha tea. The owner was there and began telling me about this new brand they had and how good it was, showing me the package. And on the label it said „Japan Sencha Green Day“. Hilarious: I’m very sure this German tea company has no clue that a band by that name exists nor what the expression Green Day actually means…😂 By now the owner probably was wondering why I was grinning all over my face, and so I told him that as a huge fan of the band Green Day I would of course try that tea. And he said that in the past he had also been a fan and bought all their albums. So I recommended Saviors and he promised to listen to it. What a nice shopping experience!😊

When you're grumpy because you're stuck on a slow bus filled with cubs fans but then you see someone wearing a rev rad green Day cubs jersey and it makes the ride a little less shitty.
