I don't think the first sentence of that article is particularly true. I feel Green Day fans such as ourselves are still obsessing over the release of Saviors and the Saviors de luxe edition that just dropped. Saviors is still just a year and a half old, which is still new (to me anyways). I feel fans should at least give them a break, considering how much work they put into Saviors. I am not eager to have a new album, though I would of course be happy. Our boys deserve a break ❤️ Thanks for sharing, though. Very confused as of why that is "bad news," haha. Interesting

Back in March, I was able to acquire the Japanese guitar magazine that features the photos of Billie's nimrod guitars and rig that were shared last year. The publication is called Cool Guitar - Modern Rock, issue is November 1998. I scanned the pages and translated the article to the best of my ability. Yeah the Saviors Era still feels young

Headline makes it sound bad, but it's actually good. Green Day have been messing around with ideas, taking a measured approach to album 15 - sounds promising to me. The guys are touring through September, so let's say the guys need an entire year off work. Hell, I need an entire year off work. Can't do it. But if they need a solid 365 days off - cool. By September 2026, Billie will have 4-5 albums worth of stuff to pick from. Mike and Tre will join in the fun, the crap will be vaporized with these "cylinders" Mike will roll in from the airport - and bada bing, bada booooom. They could probably sneak into the studio at the very end of 2026 and start cooking. Complete the recording of the entire project by April/May 2027. Quietly putting all the pieces together. The rumors and and l!@#$ start appearing around December and then an announcement for an October 2027 release. Maybe early 2028 if the touring schedule gods align better at that point. Yeah, even if Billie said "You won't be hearing from Green Day for a very long time" that's not necessarily a bad thing. Like I said, even in my hypothetical they'd have a year of chilling at home, doing millionaire stuff. I wouldn't worry unless we get into 2030 with no word whatsoever. But Green Day's track record has shown that they are always working on something or have something for us to hear. Could be a side project, a movie or whatever. A live album or or a compilation or whatever as they come up with the strongest ideas possible for the future of Green Day. But I survived the nearly 10 year wait between Offspring albums that one time, so if Green Day feel like resting to 2034, okay. Haha.

Mate, that’s literally how it happened - you’ve just kicked off moaning about not being believed and you’re literally doing the same thing. We were all there, I vividly remember it happening, don’t have to convince myself anything - “fink” took over the account, deleted a bunch of stuff, and only posted network content. Looks like my irregular lurking happens at the right time to express some gratitude. Thanks to the entire team that has kept this (now probably considered old-school) forum community alive, and thanks to those that are committing their future time to it as well. This forum and GDA is the most cozy feeling place to go to learn about anything that's happening related to Green Day. It's lovely to hear that this community will live on in the foreseeable future.

👏👏👏 Welcome back and thank you for all the hard work. GDA was once a great reference resource (still is for tour dates) and I know it will be again. The occasional support and interaction of the Green Day team made this place unique too. Fan message boards were my first introduction to the internet way back when and I still love having a place just for fans to connect and interact without all the other bullshit of scams, bots and trolls. I recently deleted my Facebook and backed away from the cesspool of most social media and I’ve been focusing back on the fan and special interest forum formats I once loved through Reddit and here. Still the best.
