Thanks Jen, that as a good read. Interesting to hear what he said about his side projects being not just fun things to do but also a way to keep his voice in shape between Green Day projects. Sounds like something that we can count on continuing then (and his voice has noticeably improved since the previous tour)5 points

Thanks to GDA and GDC, I met so many great people. Welcome back GDA and thanks Andres for sticking around.5 points

And I loved to read that he is taking good care of himself nowadays and realizes how important that is.4 points

Such great news. I found this forum because of GDA. I had never looked at fan sites before that. GDA/GDC changed that and not just because of the band but because of the people on here. I’ve met many and hope to meet many more. This is really a great place and can’t wait to rediscover GDA again. Thanks for all your hard work, Fuzz!4 points

Hey y’all, I recorded an acoustic cover of Scattered using an app called Spire on my IPhone. It’s 4 tracks (2 guitars and 2 vocals). I’ve recorded others for fun but wanted to record a cover song that had more harmonies and this one came to mind! It took a few tries to get the harmonies sounding right. I thought you guys might enjoy it! I also have a video of me just playing it on my channel.3 points

I wish I had taken a video of it! It was definitely second half of the show, maybe about 3/4 of the way through. I wish I could remember which songs it was between, sorry! But I remember exactly what he said: He asked the crowd, "How're you guys doing?!", we all went "wooo!", and he went "well I'm sad....nah just kidding, I'm happy. I'm a very happy boy these days...despite everything" with a little smile on his face. I assume he meant "despite everything" referring to trump/political things3 points

Welcome back!! I've only been a member for a year and a half, but I have had so much fun already! Everyone here has made me feel at home and comforts me when I am down, so I thank everyone here. I love GDC and GDA, and will be here until I die. Even death won't stop me from loving this amazing forum. Thank you guys for all you do, you are much appreciated and loved!3 points

The return of GDA! Welcome back! The site has had its ups and downs over the years, but I'm glad GDA/GDC has persevered. I've been in and out of fansites throughout the years, but GDA is the only one that has stuck with me. This site and community mean so much to me. I've made friends here, gotten so much support when going through difficult times, and experienced the kindness of other fans. It still blows my mind how people here are willing to help out others and expect nothing in return. It's just fans helping out other fans. And I've received so much love, support, and advice here whenever I was struggling. I've experienced so many life events while on this site: bad breakups, losing loved ones, losing jobs, etc. But no matter how bad it got, GDC was there to help me through it. Sometimes it was venting with others. Sometimes it was just to gwak at Billie and take my mind off of things. This love and support help keep me going, especially in terms of writing. I've been writing independently for 10 years now, and it often feels like you're writing into a void. I've wanted to quit so many times, but just when I wanted to give up, I would get a comment from someone on GDC, and it'd make me smile. I felt good that at least one person took the time to read something I wrote. It inspires me to keep writing. It even helped me join the GDA team! I still remember someone on the board recommending me as a writer for the site, and it meant a lot to me. I'm filled with so much pride and joy everytime I log onto the site and see "GDA Staff" under my cursed profile picture. I remember when I first found the site, thinking the people who got to talk about Green Day all day were the coolest people in the world. I never thought that one day I would join GDA and be part of the cool kids Even though the site has been through some rough times, it's great to see the impact it has had on people. Fans still talk about the site and have good memories tied to it. I hope more folks will visit the site, whether they're new or returning users, because this truly is a special place. Long live GDA.2 points

I'm looking at a facebook post by Green Day Italy - Italian Rage and Love - where Billie is talking NEXT ALBUM! He says the ideas are coming along. He's writing lyrics and melodies, messing around with stuff but that nothing will rush them back into the studio right away. The guys want to get back into family life. And Billie has changed his thought process about time off. During the Trilogy, he said "bands go away and when they come back, they aren't as good" but now he says if you don't go away, they won't miss you. And that's good. that's healthy. He wraps it up by saying they are taking their time with what comes next, and want to make sure everybody is hungry for it. Very good. 15th album, that is a milestone. Will it be an experimental record like Father of all or Nimrod? Will it stay kind of in Green Day's lane? I think they figured out on Saviors that you can be incorporate some of those Father of All type experiments as long as there is a big wall of epic guitar surrounding it. If the production is done with love and care and precision - people will be more accepting. Green Day 15. Coming - at some point.2 points

We deserve insomniac material if it’s out there Billie’s most personal album Green Day’s fastest and darkest sound imo their first concept album as every song is pretty on the nose of Billie going through a lot during this time period those songs are deep it’s their In Utero and is always under-looked I’d love an album with that type of intensity and rawness and Billies deep vocals on this is amazing his tone in this era is my favorite2 points

I don't even do GDA because of Green Day anymore. I'm not on any other fansites or pages. I do it just because I value the sites and the community so much. GDA and especially GDC were my 'places' when I was growing up, in the same way Gilman was to Green Day. That probably sounds sad but it's just how it was for the people who grew up alongside the dawn of the internet, and honestly, I'm one of many people who has met real life friends through GDC so it's not like it isn't actually 'real life.' I've felt like throwing in the towel many times but I'm glad I haven't. It's very rewarding to see the sites making a comeback and to hear from others like me who are glad to see it. I won't pretend I can keep up with the other fansites when it comes to news because I can't, but for me, GDA has always been more than news anyway - it's about the community, info and fun anecdotes that aren't found anywhere else. I'll carry on doing my best for the foreseeable future ☺️2 points

Yeah I know alright is stuck with me I don’t remember what titles so could be working titles1 point

Ballyhoo and the acoustic version of father to a son are definitely my favorite tracks from the deluxe. I’ll say the acoustic is better than the original, although the vocals are chopped noticeably in some parts. I think it’s the original track with a lot of elements just taken out. Underdog is an honorable mention. The rest is meh to me. I played look ma no brains after the new tracks to see how they sound different and it is definitely noticeable! CLA definitely worked his magic.1 point

Yeah we pretty much have everything from those sessions across 2 insomniac singles+ Time Of Your Life single, unless When Its Time or Haushinka have demos that we've never known about from this era1 point

I think they were working titles, like "alright" was what they were calling Stuck With Me. There was also that interview with Kevin Army and he said that he thought everything from that session had been released. Maybe there's demos somewhere but idk1 point

This is awesome. Thank you guys for everything you do, I love GDA/GDC and feel so grateful that they're still around1 point

Would rather (or perhaps also) get a Warning Anniversary Edition. I supect there might be lots of ideas there that returned on later albums1 point

I see this song as - you could say something that perfectly explains how you’re feeling with eloquence, with precision; you could go into detail, bullet points, the lot. But sometimes you need to go straight to the point 👍🏻 and that’s what this song is to me haha. No beating about the bush here, just fuck off! The end1 point

This has been my hangout spot since April 21st, 2008 - the day before Stop, Drop and Roll came out. There's been crashes, drama and one time I got in trouble for asking who someone was (I gotta let it go!) - but man, it's always fun. No idea who 99% of your are in real life, but I feel like we know each other. We've been talking about Green Day together for 17 years. That's wild.1 point

Yeah this is a big part of what helped me decide to try and do more. There are some great communities out there, but reading comments on social media is depressing. It’s hard on a platform like that where you can’t moderate like you can on a forum. There are people doing good things out there, but I like the idea of something more tangible than just a feed to scroll past.1 point

So glad to see this. Both GDA and GDC have such special places in my heart as I have made lifelong friends & countless memories through this site. I'm not going anywhere!1 point

Wow! Great news!! 🥳 Make GDC great again. Gonna try to be more online and active like I was before. Would be cool to eventually bring back GDC Awards, April Fools day, speculations.... etc1 point

👏👏👏 Welcome back and thank you for all the hard work. GDA was once a great reference resource (still is for tour dates) and I know it will be again. The occasional support and interaction of the Green Day team made this place unique too. Fan message boards were my first introduction to the internet way back when and I still love having a place just for fans to connect and interact without all the other bullshit of scams, bots and trolls. I recently deleted my Facebook and backed away from the cesspool of most social media and I’ve been focusing back on the fan and special interest forum formats I once loved through Reddit and here. Still the best.1 point

I love this track; it's one of my favs from the deluxe version. I feel like it has a very unfinished vibe. If more time were spent on the song, I think it would be so much better1 point

No disrespect to Jon Batiste but I'm soooo sick of these hear for the first time videos. Most of the time I think people are hamming it up or lying for the camera.1 point
