Use this thread to talk about Fuck Off from the deluxe version of Saviors1 point

I’m not sure what you can see on your end but there should be three chats - general, night 1 and night 2. It’s quiet right now (aside from some guy trying to get people to join his stocks and shares group chat lmao) but if there’s more chat in the run up to the shows, the different chats will hopefully come in handy!1 point

Then stop listening to it so much! On a real note, that’s my problem too. I loved it when I first heard it because it’s so different and I love the lyrical theme. However, the more I’ve listened, the more I think about the missed opportunity with this one. And the repetition of the chorus is starting to get to me. I think just cutting out half the “Stay Young”s would help this song a ton. I even attempted to rewrite the chorus as a fun little thought exercise to keep the song fresh for me1 point

Just saw the video Mike and Tre shared of the sign language interpreter during the show. Pretty cool1 point

Imho the additional tracks from deluxe version complements the Saviors album as a whole. That is, the additional songs add to, rather than feel out of place with original release. My own fav is Underdog.1 point

"I Think We're Alone Now" Billie Joe Armstrong singing a Tiffany song (I know, she didn't perform it originally, but she has the best-known version) never ceases to amuse me.1 point

I dunno, Goodnight Adeline's one of my favorites off Saviors1 point
-
Probably because it was chosen as the next single sort of. Spotify/promotional single, whatever you want to call it. That’s the one people see more of in playlists or their release radars1 point

Father to A Son acoustic is like The Long and Winding Road without Phil Spector's overbearing symphony arrangement.1 point

Murder city, carolina ultimate netflix tweet , coma city and now lazy bones 😂.1 point

I've been trying to figure out what Uck Off sounds like for a million years....and it just popped in my head. "in all honesty" has the same melody as Lazy Bones "I don't want your honesty" WOOHOO! I can't believe I brained that hard.1 point

I've ordered it so will perhaps be able to upload when it arrives if no one else has1 point

Love em all. Stay Young is great. Fuck Off is fire. Stay Young definitely might be a re-tooled Too Young. The guitars and melodys sound like something more like from the Warning/Cigs/AI era. Complete with slight nasally Billie vocals lol I love it. 😝 Fuck Off is basically an early version of Murder City with swapped lyrics lol.1 point

Smash it like belushi is mid. Fuck off is slightly better than belushi Stay Young is epic (imagine if it was released on a movie soundtrack in the year 2000-2005 Ballyhoo is alright. Still trying to understand the song Underdog at first i didn't like it. But after a few listen it's growing on me. The tunes are great but the lyrics is so-so1 point

Frankly, Smash It Like Belushi is the only one I really enjoyed I mean, high quality stuff because it's Green Day, but, I dunno, kinda expected more about Smash was such a banger Got my hopes a lil too high there1 point

A little snippet can be heard of (what I believe) is Lenny at 0:15 in Underdog 🐶1 point

In the Kerrang article he says he is doing long runs and swimming in the sea a lot, it’s clearly good for him, he looks amazing! He says the running is good for his mental health, not an original thought but so true and I’m glad it’s working for him.1 point

I can confirm they played 2000 LYA! It was so great! And no, the show definitely didn't end after that1 point

You're not the only one. I love stay young and it's green day. I'll take stay young than those three skippable songs from tré album(trilogy)1 point

I’m surprised people aren’t more in love with Stay Young I mean definitely repetitive, but let’s be real it’s GD To me the song just sounds so nostalgic warm fuzzy and ugh. so good.1 point

I've only done one listen through the deluxe edition, but as others have said, I'm underwhelmed. Stay Young starts off pretty good, and then we get to the clunky hook. It's repetitive, and the song overall seems unfinished. Fuck Off....ugh it's not great. It's trying way too hard to be edgy. It just doesn't work. And thank you, everyone who said it sounds like Murder City! I knew it sounded like another GD song, but I couldn't place which one. Smash It like Belushi is such a throwaway track. It's not bad; it's pretty catchy, but nothing special. One of those songs I'll forget about it and then go "oh yeah" when it comes up on shuffle. Ballyhoo, I actually like a lot more now. I think it's the strongest out of the bunch. It actually sounds like it could be on Saviors and feels like the most complete song. Underdog is pretty good too! I quite enjoyed that one. The acoustic versions are disappointing. Are they really just the regular versions of the song with certain elements isolated or removed? No wonder they sound exactly like the originals. And why Father to a Son? The song is already a ballad. An acoustic version isn't really gonna do much for it. Honestly, this deluxe release is pretty meh overall. Even if they wanted to include all these songs, I would've loved it if they included some live tracks of Saviors songs or maybe even some demos. That would make the release feel a bit more worth it to me.1 point

This is a live reaction; I am listening as we speak (minus the acoustics, I don't have much of an opinion, I still love them as much as the originals. Well, I actually like Suzie more) Stay Young: I actually really like it. Super repetitive, but Billie's voice is my favorite. Fuck Off: Legit murder city. Atleast I already know how to play it on guitar loll Underdog: Not as bad as Fever, but if you all have read my other posts, I despise fever. Def at the bottom, but not terrible Rankings: 🥇Ballyhoo 🥈Smash It Like Belushi 🥉Suzie Chapstick (acoustic) 4. Stay Young 5. Fuck Off 6. Father to a Son (acoustic) 7. Underdog1 point
