This is insanity. I commend her efforts though. I mean…i love Green Day to death. Will I spend my life savings on 2 obscure Green Day artifacts? Nah fam. If I owned them and they were in shambles, you Green Day fans could drag your sorry asses over to my house where they would be stored…dead and inoperable lol.6 points

Nice to see Strange Days being loved, I don’t see it talked about much but it’s top tier for me. As much as I adore Dilemma and Suzie Chapstick I had to go with Bobby Sox. A song that is so earnest and sweet yet can rock hard is a rare double threat. Plus where they put it in the setlist is just perfect.5 points

Covid. What a distressing and scary time for everyone. I lost a few friends and neighbors to the virus. Due to some personal medical conditions, I was in extended lockdown for 3 years. Green Day and particularly Billie Joe helped me survive. With the world (and subsequently Green Day’s touring plans) on hold due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Billie Joe began releasing homemade cover songs on the Internet each week. He vowed to release a cover every Monday “until we’re let back out into the world” and dubbed the project “No Fun Mondays”. While Billie didn’t stick to releasing on Mondays, or even every week, he did in the end release 14 covers online which were eventually compiled into the album No Fun Mondays. Thanks Billie Joe, that was a really caring and special project. ❤️5 points

Wouldn't these be better off in a museum at this point? They've had so many problems that as soon as these ones are solved, there'll be more problems and more fundraisers. Obviously it's incredible that fans have been able to see the vehicles at shows/events and I commend this lady for spending her own money to maintain them and get them there, but fans would be able to enjoy them in a museum too. It just seems like fighting a losing battle.5 points

Both The Network and No Fun Mondays were great surprises. Favorites off of the first- Fentanyl, Ivanka, and Degenerate. Favorite NFM- You Can't Put Your Arms Around a Memory and Amico. It was also great just to see Billie getting more attention by himself by the general public. Pollyanna was very much needed for me at that time. My mental health was at a low, and the message of things may not be great now but just hold on and everything will be okay was something I needed to hear then.5 points

The Network without a doubt! Coming back with perfect timing in 2020, the amazing angle that they predicted everything that was going on with the previous album, successfully capturing the Network vibe again after 17 years, great mix of songs from each of the guys (Mike's bringing the classic Network sound, Tre's hilarious, Billie's as good as any GD song), savage political commentary, and totally spoiling us with a double album and multiple music videos. Perfection and hands down the best thing to come out of the year 2020 No Fun Mondays was cool too, I still listen to Manic Monday and Kids in America all the time The Network stealing Green Day's lyrics (and making them dirtier) is an amazing concept. Also the beat totally sounds like an early 90s p-funk Bay Area type rap beat and I love that.4 points

I must vote Fancy Sauce because that is the song that is in my head the most. It is such a catchy song and I think it earned a spot in my top 20 Green Day songs of all time. Honorable mentions are The American Dream Is Killing Me and Dilemma. Both are top tier Green Day songs. American Dream could be on 21st Century Breakdown, the first new album I heard as a fan of the band. I was so hyped when I first heard it. (Also, it won’t let me vote) wow! I see Fancy Sauce is winning!!!4 points

AHHH HOW COULD I FORGET ABOUT THE NETWORK?!!?? Some of my favs are Fentanyl, Jerry Falwell's Pool Party, and Art of the Deal with the devil4 points

This is difficult because I love most of the songs very much. But I picked Saviors because I think that it doesn’t get enough love. I especially like the line „we’re the last of the rockers making a commotion“. Close up in my ranking are Fancy Sauce and Strange Days.3 points

The one thing that hasn't changed with this band since day one is, that they just love to play. Whether to a 100 people or thousands. Any excuse to add additional dates to a tour. It's happening time and time again over 30+ years. And we're the lucky ones. Always greedy for more. Slow down a bit? Who are you kiddin'. 😜3 points

Living in the 20s. Could have easily been Dilemma (but I figured that'd get plenty of votes and wanted to spread the love), Suzie Chapstick (which is my most revisited one), or Goodnight Adeline, but LIT20s has the aggressive sound I love. Great album.3 points

The underappreciated money money 2020 pt 2 by the network. Here comes the shock ,pollyana, insomniac 25th (including the live videos), bbc sessions, nimrod demos. Does dookie anniversary still counts?3 points

Holy crap, I forgot about that cover of A New England! I used to listen to that a ton! Definitely part of my answer as well. I also really liked That’s Rock n Roll a bunch cause of how catchy it was and I Think We’re Alone Now of course. The late night performance Billie did with his sons was great too! Also, Jerry Falwell’s Pool Party is awesome, especially since I will defend Kill The DJ to the death.3 points

I was just becoming a fan right before know your enemy came out. Next thing I knew, my grandma was telling me how she just went to see their show and gave me the 21st Century Breakdown cd she bought there 😂. In 2010, my dad and I camped out at the stage they were playing at Lollapooza all day. That was the closest I’ve ever gotten to being picked to come up on stage. This album holds a special place in my heart and I still come back to it regularly.3 points

They have played a lot of shows this year. I was expecting them to take more of a break inbetween these shows and the European ones.2 points

They are charging european prices with people who earn half the money. Not happy with that. I'll pay, but cuz I have no other choice. Is literal the offer I cannot deny2 points

Just posted in their instagram: Bogota, Colombia (Aug. 24th) Lima, Peru (Aug. 27th) Santiago, Chile (Aug. 30th) Sao Paulo, Brazil (Sep. 7th) Asuncion, Paraguay (Sep. 15th) They're all going on sale this week or next. Argentina "stay tuned". I hadn't read the caption at first, and thought they were skipping in Argentina and was thinking that was quite a bold choice 😅 I'm guessing it will be added before or after the Sao Paulo show, as this schedule has a free week both before and after that date.2 points

More underrated than any song that sounds like it thats for sure (minus Strange Days obviously)1 point

Strange days . My dumbass thought it was a checkbox vote, where you can vote more than one item, so I was clicking multiple songs and I noticed It kept changing, and then I was like "I have to choose ONE."1 point

Love this song, from Insomniac, imho the perfect and awesome follow up to Dookie. When GD were '86'ed, or thrown out of Gilman Street, their home away from home, they momentarily wondered if the band and a major label was worth it, but quickly rebounded for this central attack of Insomniac. Billie Joe sets the scene at the door of Gilman, acknowledged in the bratty pre-chorus 'Stand aside and let the next one pass/Don't let the door kick you in the ass,' Billie Joe sings, playing the part of Gilman club owner Tim Yohannan. Though some questioned their punk credibility, most GD fans were enthusiastic about the group's music. It was just that their original fans were harsh. Yohannan took the brunt of GD's aural brutality. (Taken from Green Day on track, by William E. Spevack)1 point

They have taken longer breaks before.😅 I will never forget the break between American Idiot and 21CBD. I'm not complaining. My bank account is a little upset but that happens now and then anyways. 😂1 point

Yep, Billie Joe posted a pic of giving his dogs a bath with the caption "Littles bath. I hope this warms your heart. Also South America here we come!" I posted it in the fangirls thread1 point

I think Mike probably has worn eyeliner quite often as part of regular stage/photoshoot/event makeup, just usually in a subtle not meant to be noticed way. Probably just a bit more added as he's older in the same way they all have more of that type of makeup now alongside Billie and Tre's bolder statement eyeliner/eyeshadow. Maybe more noticeable on this good quality video.1 point
