  6. Spotify’s sorting is so poor. So many versions of the same song, and some album editions only appear in search of playlists but not on the artist page. What a mess.

  10. I listened to it on Apple Music, the podcast had lyrics-style captions that synced with the audio, which made it easy to follow and search😆 Thanks for sharing!

  15. My thoughts on Ballyhoo: First listen: Meh, don’t know… Second listen: Hm, wait, maybe… Third listen: YES! Love it!!! And even if it was recorded about six months ago, I think it was written at the same time as the Saviors songs, covering similar topics as Dilemma and Goodnight Adeline.

  16. Finally got round to listening to the east Bay Yesterday podcast about Murray Bowles. An interesting listen, GD get a few mentions, including thanks for taking care of the print cost of $30,000.

  17. My mum told me Mark Hoppus was on Something For the Weekend (UK Sunday morning tv show) yesterday to promote his book and was talking about Blink's "rivalry" with Green Day, and he compared it to the Beatles and Rolling Stones

  18. I prefer these deluxe editions to a throw away EP, and I have a feeling that's what Green Day are thinking as well. Why put out an EP that nobody's going to pay any attention to when you could do a few more songs and do a full on album cycle. These bonus tracks are a lot like 1972 in that way. Remember all the hype - "Green Day have 6 songs, aaaaagh!" But this time, it's adding to the album, giving us fan a more satisfying conclusion to the Saviors era, may it continue so far that it overlaps into - and yeah, I don't leave without doing it- ALBUM 15 ERA, oh yeah!!!!!

  20. I like the "no hard feelings" part of the song, that's a very sentiment to be shared in song form. Usually in Rock, everything's either antagonist, horny, sad or all of the above, lol. Also, who else is singing about Lolygagging in a sleeping bag? I bet Billie's been glamping recently and he was uh....up to no good in there. Point for originality, I think Green Day are heading in a good direction. It's really cool that the Saviors era is being explored to it's fullest potential. More singles, more videos, more random publicity thingies. I passed a 7-11 just now and thought "should I go in and check out the Punk Bunny Merch, or should I have a midlife crisis in the parking lot? Or both, perhaps?

  21. I do like Ballyhoo a lot better than Smash It Like Belushi (though I like Smash It Like Belushi too), but I am not quite sure it is on the same level as the rest of Saviors. Saviors is just so amazing that I can see why these songs didn't make the final cut.

  23. Yeah, I saw PD support as well and didn't love them that much 🫣 Other bands Green Day has directly influenced me to check out: The Interrupters - not sure what the connection is here, but I definitely remember it being something to do with GD. The Replacements - after Beej talked about them once (Here Comes A Regular is still one of my face songs of all time).

  24. The thing I find funny is the number of people insulting them on fanpages. Not the band/members pages, but like Green Day Italy, etc. It's sad enough to be on the official page of someone you hate, but how empty does your life have to be to hate obsess on a fanpage?

  25. I keep seeing conservatives trying to insult Billie and Tre on social media with 'they look like old lesbians' and I never wade into the cesspits that are internet comment sections, but in these cases I'm really having to restrain myself from pointing out that Billie and Tre would not be offended.

  26. Hey everyone! I know this is a bit random, but I just wanted to thank all of you for being so kind. I really feel at home here, and I look forward to discussing our favorite band together every day. Thank you all for making my life suck a little less ❤️
