@Undómiel I feel like so few regular marriages endure and even fewer marriages that involve someone in the spotlight last. The musician lifestyle cannot be easy and we can surmise things haven’t always been smooth sailing for them, so it’s so sweet to see them still being such a cute and happy couple. I love how much he clearly adores Adrienne. And I’ve always loved how much Billie seems to value loyalty in all his relationships in life — it says a lot about someone’s character to have such long-lasting, strong bonds with so many people.

Hey party people (at least I hope that's what those young folks today say), So I've been a fan for a while and have been collecting some stuff over the years and besides doing scans of artwork I also like to scan magazines and books. Especially this year I focused on a lot of Japanese mags I wanted to share since not too many people outside of Japan have seen these or people from outside of Germany have seen the German mags I also have. Since I always wanted to have the American Idiot tour book they did (actually "just" tour rehearsal photos and dates) and since it's AI's anniversary, I wanted to share HQ scans of those as well. Since I'm a perfectionist I edited the pictures to be as close as possible to the original mag or how it "should" look digitized, these took a lot of time and I wanted to share as much as possible at once with you. There's still stuff to scan and/or edit. For me, it has to be 21 Century Breakdown. The 21st Century Breakdown World Tour is Green Day's absolute peak in my opinion, and I love the entire era's look so much. (Also a lot of nostalgia for that era so I'm completely biased)

Green Day playing Knowledge, in the style of Operation Ivy, at a festival as big as Coachella, just goes to show how much respect they have for those punk bands that influenced them to where they are today, and where they've been for the last 20 years. Green Day isn't just headlining a huge festival, they are showing everyone what rock music, passion, love and unity is.

Bit of a side note—this is from the Bobby Sox part of the set. This is a clip I grabbed from the Coachella replay last week. And this one’s from the original live stream, same moment. In the replay, the animation of two men hugging does appear briefly, but then it slowly fades into a Coachella title screen for a few seconds before cutting back to the stage. At first I thought it was just a weird transition, but then I came across a Reddit thread about the Coachella owner and his donations to anti-LGBTQ and far-right groups… and it got me wondering. And in weekend 2, it also felt like the camera avoided showing that part of the animation. Maybe I’m overthinking it...? Here’s the clip😉

Just finished Coachella night 2 and guys, how did we score the hottest singer of all the singers in the world? How? How tf does he look that good? There were like 50 individual moments in those 2 hours where I was like “that is the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen???” We did something good in a past life. And so did he apparently because damn.

I hope this project will be a great resource for many years to come. It was a lot of work but I'm glad I completed it. I’ll eventually add new events as they happen and go back through the thread to remove ‘_ years ago’ so it will always be relevant (I definitely don’t have the time or energy to change the numbers each year). I still need to add some things I missed in the beginning and quite a few Saviors Tour shows. I’ll post when I add them so if people want to see them, they know what to look for. If anyone would like to reminisce on the anniversaries of anything, whether it’s shows, albums or videos, please continue to do so! Definitely American Idiot for me. Everything about the aesthetics and the look of the era is perfect. The red and black. The hand grenade. The red ties. The eyeliner!!!

This is really difficult, so so many amazing and magician eras to choose from over past 30+ years. But I'll go for American Idiot era tour. The set, the stage, the music of course. Billie Joe's crown, his running up and down the stage, conducting the audience like a magician. Being totally hypnotized. As one with 50,000 adoring fans and the band. Heaven. OMG.

Tricky but possibly 21CBD era for me. For those of you who don’t visit the fangirl thread, Billie in those striped trousers just does something in my head which blows all the other great looks, cool shirts, hair styles etc out if the water for me.

Can I ask that this forum follow along with the Green Day subreddit and every other major subreddit and ban Twitter/X links from now on? Screenshots if you must but I would rather see the whole site shunned after the owner turned full Nazi. Just ask yourself what Green Day would do. Nazi punks fuck off and fuck Twitter/X.
