I had so much fun attending virtual Coachella with you all! I feel so so grateful that was live-streamed and filmed so well. And this show didn’t have any audio issues and they seemed to be more relaxed, so it was even better than last week!

I get like PTSD every time he breaks to talk during Hitchin. My pre-teen experience seeing Green Day on the AI tour with my parents left a mark.

Just finished Coachella night 2 and guys, how did we score the hottest singer of all the singers in the world? How? How tf does he look that good? There were like 50 individual moments in those 2 hours where I was like “that is the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen???” We did something good in a past life. And so did he apparently because damn.

YAAAAAY another great set by Green Day! They really did a fantastic job for their first Coachella ( I knew they would). I think they did a great job bringing a Green Day show to a huge festival crowd. Maybe some folks will want to see them ona regular tour after this. And it was super fun live reacting here on GDC.

I need to give huge props to this stream’s camera crew and direction. The angles are so fucking good. The Billie cam is so very delightful lol. I usually have so much beef with camera choices during Green Day performances.

I think they probably decided to slot Knowledge in instead of calling someone up for Good Riddance so no one can fuck it up for them during the final song.

Seeing them live will change your life, and it is absolutely worth going to. Only band I would pay ridiculous ticket prices + travel fees to see. They are just that damn good.

Green Day playing Knowledge, in the style of Operation Ivy, at a festival as big as Coachella, just goes to show how much respect they have for those punk bands that influenced them to where they are today, and where they've been for the last 20 years. Green Day isn't just headlining a huge festival, they are showing everyone what rock music, passion, love and unity is.

I thought the same. He seemed normal last week but clearly is more calm and confident tonight, maybe because the first night went so well! It must be nerve wracking to play such a well-known festival. I was nervous for them lol.

Bit of a side note—this is from the Bobby Sox part of the set. This is a clip I grabbed from the Coachella replay last week. And this one’s from the original live stream, same moment. In the replay, the animation of two men hugging does appear briefly, but then it slowly fades into a Coachella title screen for a few seconds before cutting back to the stage. At first I thought it was just a weird transition, but then I came across a Reddit thread about the Coachella owner and his donations to anti-LGBTQ and far-right groups… and it got me wondering. And in weekend 2, it also felt like the camera avoided showing that part of the animation. Maybe I’m overthinking it...? Here’s the clip😉
