I preordered the second I got the email from 1234 Go!… and then bought the Spotify splatter variant of the regular version on eBay. I may have a bit of a problem.3 points

I know it's simple but man this song slaps! It's so catchy, I've been listening to it a lot. We've come a long way from Here Comes the Shock.3 points

Will this count toward record sales for Saviors? Assuming it will and give the record a bit of a boost.2 points

Heading out to Coachella for this weekend! 104 degrees today and a little cooler at 98 tomorrow for the show! Love the California desert LOL. Can't wait for Saturday!!!2 points

Although Smash It Like Belushi sounds more FOAMish than other Saviors songs, isn't it fascinating how much difference a production by Rob Cavallo makes? That's a whole different level to all the songs on FOAM.2 points

These songs were very recently recorded for the deluxe and are not leftovers tracks from the Saviors sessions.2 points

Giving up hope that they'll actually tour the US in 2025 tbh 😭 It's cool that they're part of such a big cultural event, but selfishly I hate festivals. I can't physically or financially swing them.2 points

Let's get it to surpass Basketcase today, just the two of us!!! Muhuhahaha.1 point

Oh Green Day didn't play yet? I just saw a pic of him lol. That's awesome that he played with the Go Gos1 point

I mean, that’s one of the most iconic things ever. They should really forma band together, if they haven’t already! LAxOak1 point

Go-Go’s set is about to start, with the boys making some sort of surprise appearance? Link: Outdoor Theater @ Coachella1 point

Fuck Off i feel like could beat or tie Platypus or LYG at minimum, theres no way its gonna beat Grouch or DJ though1 point

I have a busy day ahead of me tomorrow (RSD, helping a friend at an event, an opening night, and then traveling to see family) But I should arrive just in time to catch their set and put it on the TV in my parent’s living room and having them watch too.1 point

They are teasing a surprise with The Go-Go’s set! That’s today at 5:25 pst.1 point

In the Saviors Album thread @Sanity Loan said they were recorded six months ago.1 point

It's hyped because of how fun the music video is. I don't think I've listened to the song without watching the video lol1 point
-
i don't think we need that. Most people hate the record and probably having extra songs from those sessions wouldn't do anything.1 point

I think we’ve already heard some of the extra FOAM stuff. Art of the Deal with the Devil (Released on The Network Money Money 2020 Part 2) Here Comes The Shock Holy Toledo Corvette Summer (Released on Saviors, originally heard in Billie’s headphones in a FOAM sessions video on his Instagram) Fever (Released on Saviors in Japan)1 point

Until the stock market crashes their 401k’s and then it’s “save capitalism!” Seriously will Green Day ever get past the accusations of “sell outs”?1 point
-
This is no different to things they've done in the past. Fire Ready Aim and Here Comes The Shock made for the NHL, Holy Toledo and The Forgotten released as singles alongside movies they appeared in, Know Your Enemy in WWE, 21 Guns in Transformers, Green Day: Rock Band. Promoting your music and making money is apparently bad now. I've not seen the band do anything egregious. Deluxe albums are things pretty much every artist does nowadays, you don't have to buy them. The songs are all gonna be available on streaming anyway. If you bought the original album, no one's forcing you to buy it again. How many people even listen to the physical CDs & Vinyls that they buy, people usually buy these things to add to their collection while they listen to the album on streaming where it's much more convenient. "They use to talk about politics but now they keep their mouths shut... except for when they don't" Lights Out1 point

Every song on Saviors has a similar style visualizer video. I don't even think it's a "single", it's just a Deluxe pre-release track and they're not gonna make much money off of it at all. They didn't give an announcement for the song's release prior to releasing it, they just released it alongside the announcement of the Deluxe album. Idk what point you're trying to make. The band hasn't said anything about the song, they announced it on social media and YouTube and even there they didn't make any statement about the quality of the new tracks but also even if they did, they're not gonna say "Yeah these tracks are pretty mid. Listen if you want". They're trying to promote a deluxe version of their latest album.1 point

I like it, it’s fun! Very much B-side material but I love B-sides so that’s alright by me. Glad they decided to treat us.1 point

I am unreasonably excited for this even though I know I won't be there LOL.1 point
