You start your new job and the first thing you put on your cubicle wall is a picture of Green Day. Not of your partner. Not even of your dog. Green. Day.4 points

Oh yes please. And even another Bullet in a Bible maybe. And this time uncut thank you very much. Having been there, although made up being able to relive Milton Keynes, tad disappointed all the bits they left out. Still always get goosebumps every time I watch it. So lucky, lucky, lucky. Truly privileged blessed, and humbled, to see GD live through 4 decades. Green Day I love you so much.3 points

Day tickets are on sale now: https://downloadfestival.co.uk/tickets/#no-camping It's gonna have to be a no from me at £135 each because I am so so broke. I'm really sad, but hopefully they'll be something else to look forward to in the not too distant future.2 points

In 2051, you'll be able to sell yours for 900 Trillion dollars and mine will about 50 cents. Good job.2 points

28 March On this day in 2017, Green Day played the State Farm Center in Champaign, IL on the Revolution Radio Tour. You know you're about to get an essay. It was my mum's birthday, so I'd bought her a VIP ticket. I had a peasant ticket so I went in later and managed to get a spot behind her, but the VIP next to her randomly said she was going to find her son, smiled and ushered me into her spot beside my mum. The venue staff member in front of us (Scott, I think) was lovely, albeit baffled and amused by the weirdos who flew from England just to see Green Day in Champaign. Against Me are one of my favourite bands so seeing them open for Green Day was incredible. I wasn't going crazy or anything when Billie asked for someone to Know Your Enemy, just holding up one hand, but he picked me. Scott smiled like a proud dad as he helped Arturo (one of Green Day's crew) haul me out. I promptly went the wrong way and fell over. Billie was like, 'YO!' I'd never experienced stage fright as a kid, but when I turned and saw 16,000 faces staring at me it was TERRIFYING. Billie was beaming and beckoning. I ran down the catwalk grinning like a creature from a horror movie despite the fear, and Billie gave me a warm, genuine hug that made me feel better. I was still kind of frozen, so he kept one hand on my back and the other on my hand holding the mic until I sang the 'gimme gimme revolution' part and the pyros went off. That was pretty cool. The photo above was taken just after that. I was terrified yet again when it was time to stage dive, but it was actually just fun, not scary at all. I made that collage back then. Sadly there's only that one professional photo of me onstage, but I look hideous in every fan photo and video, so maybe it's for the best 😂 People congratulated and high-fived me when I landed. Later, Billie picked one of my sweetest Green Day friends to play guitar for Knowledge. A guy who'd bought me a beer yelled 'that sure beats what you did' and I was just screaming, 'THAT'S MY FRIEND CAITLIN! She's amazing!' He was like, 'you actually know her?! No way!' On the way out, people kept excitedly running up to me and I thought they were going to ask what it was like in general, but no... they all asked what Billie smelled like. That was the last thing on my mind 😂 But the answer was pine. I saw Scott again and he hugged and congratulated me. Everyone was so nice. The next day I was watching videos in a stranger's tent in the snow in Wisconsin and trying not to cry. Good times. Some other photos: On 28 March 2013, Green Day played the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL on the 99 Revolutions Tour. It was the first rescheduled arena show after Billie went to rehab and also the first time Bohemian Rhapsody was played before the show. I went to a few shows in the US in 2013, starting with this one. I went so insane when Stray Heart started that it made Billie laugh. Hearing that was obviously a highlight, but Stay the Night, X-Kid and Brutal Love were highlights too. If you want to watch a random video of X-Kid, this is a good one. Felt like my heart shattered when Billie's voice cracked because it was such an emotional performance. On 28 March 1998, Green Day were on Recovery TV in Melbourne, Australia – that time when they ran off from the interview, snatched the house instruments to play The Grouch, and got thrown out afterwards. More pics: They also played the ANU Bar & Refectory in Canberra, Australia. On 28 March 1992, Green Day played 924 Gilman Street.2 points

So jealous of everyone who got to be an extra! What a cool experience! That being said, I have no idea why I can't get excited for this movie. I saw so much news about it on Insta and I just didn't care Maybe when we get closer to its release I'll care, maybe I'm just thinking about Ordinary World and how mid that was. Maybe I just want them to come back to Chicago. To a small venue. Called my house. Green Day come play my house I have a cute dog. Please and thank you.2 points

Just an FYI, all PBC pods and grounds are available on keurig.com I order decaf, tea pods and keurig supplies from there so if it’s easy to toss a box of PBC into my cart I may go back to ordering that way1 point

I think (and hope) they’re teasing something. They’re making an offer we cannot deny…!1 point

Green Day posted another OEB-related video today. I get that they might be doing this because they want to promote the song, but now it is getting excessive. It's wierding me out, hahah.1 point

I think it’s just to push the song because it’s become a surprise hit in the airplay charts1 point

Another OEB reel with lyrics, the cartoon and 0 context on their Instagram. I'm gonna be disappointed if all this is just about a new coffee blend or something1 point

I'm missing you! Remember the joke we told? rumors from a long, long time ago.... I can't wait for this forum to get cranking again, even though I know it might be a while. Maybe the movie will get us all stirred up again and then some time after that we can get some ALBUM 15 tidbits flying. Green Day could joke around that Saviors is the last album and then BAM. Stuff starts up again.1 point

When Billie played that bit of Corvette Summer there was a collective gasp and that little shit knew exactly what he'd done when it didn't continue 😂 I have to admit I didn't recognise Pollyanna. I don't think I've even listened to it in full. #FakeFan 😤 I could tell I was in the company of fellow ADHDers because Billie kept playing random chords and Tre tapped away at his drums whenever there was a lull 😂 Now I've had some sleep I can't believe that was all an actual thing I experienced. Green Day were probably onstage for a maximum of 3 of the 12 hours we were all there - there was a lot of waiting around and we had to leave to eat then go back in - but it was a unique and unforgettable experience for sure. The local fans were so nice 🥰 The lady next to me had never seen Green Day and said she was a reasonably casual fan, but after the first song she was like, 'this is the best day ever!' Pretty sure it's OK to comment on random impromptu bits of songs because they didn't have anything to do with the film... it says we can't post 'material in connection with the Picture,' not the event itself.1 point

Is that Wunderhorse I hear you say? *looks over at empty wallet and weeps* Wunderhorse + Green Day is indeed a fking great combination. I know I'm a bit of a fanboy, but they are fantastic imho. Whoever makes it to this/these gig(s), enjoy Also, does anyone think they might record the shows, seeing they're playing two nights? I was wondering the same thing for Yokohama. I mean, people talked about there being cameras at the Wembley gig last summer, but nothing much seems to have come from that thus far?1 point

I cannot imagine acting all hyped up while listening the KYE for the third time in a row But I'm guessing the vibe there, in a small venue and with the band playing live might have kept people hyped throughout the 5 takes. My first thought after knowing they were using KYE for the movie was that maybe they are doing the "bringing someone on stage" bit for the movie, but since it's not mentioned in the setlist I guess maybe not (or maybe that is the one secret people who were there decided to keep). Very nice that they played a small set and a few snippets for the benefit of the fans there. Hope Tre didn't get too sweaty in the process1 point

I think I’ve had nightmares where I’m at a Green Day show and all they play is KYE over and over 😜1 point

That was fun. I think I'm allowed to say that Green Day played 4-5 songs for the fans in between takes. The filming was cool but those songs were the best bits. Billie threw lots of guitar picks with questions like: 'What's my favourite colour?' 'What number is on my mind right now?' 'What is my dog's name?' 'Who has the most spikes in their hair?' He didn't actually wait for anyone to answer. He just threw them at the first people he saw 😂 He also announced 'oof, my back' twice. Mike kept telling us we were killing it. The first time they played a song just for fun, Tre refused to play more when Billie asked because he didn't want to get sweaty. The barrier was mostly filled with hired actors but some fans got onto it in the centre and I got onto it past Mike, towards the end with some of the lovely ladies I met in the queue. There's such a small gap between the barrier and stage at the Palladium that I felt almost as close as I did when I was technically closer at stadiums. I can't believe I was still jumping at the end considering the jet lagged state I'm in 😂 If I remember more that I can share I will, but I need to sleep now.1 point

Thank you! I usually use a website called pic2pat to get a base for a pattern. It tends to give too much information/background noise (ex. it suggests 93 colors for Drunk Bunny, whereas I only needed 4), so I color over what I think I'll use and then redraw it onto graph paper where I can make edits and see it more clearly. This is what my final pattern looks like-1 point

I cross stitched Drunk Bunny onto my hoodie. Right as I was finishing the last stitch, I realized I was finishing it on Billie's birthday.1 point
